The Abbey Hotel Miami by M11 Collection

- We booked this hotel 5 months ahead and they cancelled the day we landed. Without any way possible to contact them, no refund. I thought it was a fake hotel. very bad experience!

We arrived to find it closed down. Called Marriott to find Sonder filed bankruptcy! Marriott found us another property. That we had paid, and weren't notified of the situation.

The hotel is stylish and kept very clean, and good location. Poor soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear footsteps from above very loudly everyday at 5am, and the walls were also quite thin. Would benefit with some acoustic insulation etc.

Good location….close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. The walls are paper thin. I could literally hear the people in the next rooms entire conversation and they were speaking at a normal level. You could hear everything. I wouldn’t stay there again just for that one specific reason.

Bed is not comfortable no breakfast big disappointment

It’s located in a relatively quiet area, yet within walking distance to the beach and all the nice restaurants and bars at the Art Deco area. The check-in process was very easy. With the pre-registration password, we were able to access the room by ourselves. Regarding the noice issues a lot of people mentioned in the comments, it didn’t really bother us during our stay. No parking was provided. We had to park somewhere 5 minutes away. But the staffs were helpful showing us the way.

Easy and fast check-in procedure Unfortunately, the room's window was sealed without the possibility to open it, making the area non hygienic, in addition to the bathroom vent broken. Another bad point is the extremely poor acoustics. We could hear our 'neighbor' breathing in the other room, waking us at 6AM with his alarm clock.

Lovely location and spacious rooms. Public spaces a bit neglected. Very few amenities.

Well located and close to the beach and to other points of interest from Miami South Beach. Room is decent. Staff is quite friendly. Room has a certain smell coming from the bathroom (because the windows can not be opened). Not something too obvious or disturbing, but it feels especially when you enter the room from the outside.

All was perfect. We stay 6 nights, but they never cleaned the room so that, since there was a lot of sand on the floor, because we went to the beach, one evening I had to ask for a broom at reception.

The room is ok, but the shower in my room is bad. It is absolutely not with the level of a hotel by Marriott Bonvoy. Hot water did not work, I told them and they did not fix it. Very competitive price Easy check-in and check-out This is an apartment without services. No breakfast, no bar, no parking, no room services neither room cleaning during our 4 nights. This is just a place to sleep at competitive price in Miami, something not easy, but do not expect anything else than just a room

The room and the bathroom were both excellent — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The front desk seemed to have no communication with housekeeping, and when we lost an item in the room, it took over an hour on the phone with Sonder to try to resolve it, as even the front desk had no direct contact or phone access. Overall, it doesn’t operate like a traditional hotel, but rather more like renting a room through Airbnb.
