The room smelled of mold/mildew and was damp feeling. There was visible water damage on the door and furniture. The Front Desk offered to move us to a new room and upon inspection it smelled/looked the same.

The hotel has an excellent location

Parking was limited. Often people double parked over lines didn’t allow others to park. The hotel seemed dated and needed carpet cleaning and shelving and cabinets replaced. Windows were clouded white . The elevator arrived with an extreme thud both rising and downward. I reported the parking issue and the clerk looked at me like I was out of my mind and didn’t say a word.

The check in desk clerk could have been a little more friendly.

Great place to stay, would definitely stay here again!

There was a horrible smell in the room. The staff told us that the smell was coming from the pond. From where we were staying, I did not see a pond. They had two air fresheners in the room which was overpowering. We took the fresheners out and the room. We stayed there for two nights. We only slept there, spent no time. Sleeping was long enough. I found dead bugs in the bathroom floor.

Could use some updates. However over all it was not bad. Good breakfast everything was fresh. Beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of pressure. Big plus!!

Many workout machines were broken, AC WAS LOUD in room and ice and soda machines also made alot of noise, hard to sleep.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The only meat option was sausage all weekend. Some of the other guests had no sense of personal space. While trying to enjoy the pool we had an unattended child keep rubbing up against us. Also while trying to get coffee, we had 2 kids push through us splashing our hot coffee. They seemed to know the staff since they kept going on to the stock room for the kitchen. Seemed to not be a very professionally ran business.

I love the great location just off the Highway. Plenty of food options.

We got in very late after driving for over 7 hours. Check out was 11:00am and before 11:05 housekeeping and the desk manager were at our doors. We were literally collecting our bags. We did not try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. The night desk clerk was friendly.

Check-in was fast and simple. Having paid in advance through Expedia made check-in and check-out even better. My wife has mobility challenges and the staff was thoroughly accommodating to our needs. The location was excellent for our needs.

The staff was helpful. Breakfast was good with a limited variety of choices. Overall, the room was clean. Served our purpose for a quick family get away well.

Convenient to Indiana dunes

HVAC in room don’t cool properly, poor airflow, didn’t have hot water and the hallways are very dark.

Well the 1st night we stayed NO AIR in bedroom. Told front desk right away. So I told the lady it wasn't blowing air just fan and mind you it was 90 out and we sweated all night because maintenance leaves at 230pm which she was told before that, so it could've been fix the 1st night but it wasn't plus it was our 19th Anniversary on that day. But when i asked if the could at least do half for the 1st night and regular for the 2nd since we had air. The manager said I'll comp you. Then I got the bill and he took 20.00 off is all. So not very happy with them and I won't go anymore this was our 2nd time going but not no more. If you go during summer make sure they fix things before 230pm or you'll suffer like we did.. They could've and should've done better since we have been there before. NOT NO MORE....

From the moment we checked in, every employee we encountered was very friendly and willing to help! Our room was clean, and housekeeping kept everything well-stocked. The only area I would suggest for improvement would be to expand the variety of options offered for breakfast. Granted, it was free and I shouldn't complain, but offering some sweet options (pastries, donuts) as well as a few more warm foods would go a long way!

The hotel stay was overall acceptable, but the room felt quite outdated and could really benefit from a refresh. The furnishings and decor appeared worn, and the carpet looked old and not as clean as it should have been, which affected the overall impression of the room. Updating the room and replacing or deep-cleaning the carpet would go a long way toward improving the guest experience. The staff was pleasant, but the condition of the room did not meet expectations.
