Disappointing

First -check your pillows and pillow cases. The pillows were stained a burnt orange color from(what I could only imagine) old sweat or bodily fluids, it was disgusting. Next, the white comforter had a big red stain. It looked to be hidden under the comforter and by the feet. We picked up food from the grocery store, planned to use the microwave located in the room. It did not work because it was never plugged in behind the entertainment center (too big to move and both outlets were already were being used). We had to pull the microwave out of the cabinet and relocate it only to have it make a loud and suspicious buzzing sound when it was in use. Keep in mind, we did not arrive until after 9pm and were exhausted dealing with these inconveniences. The front desk person was pleasant but it was apparent he did not have much control over these matters. The next morning, I spoke to the manager (both had very broken English, difficult to understand). He smiled and said "sorry", offered no compensation. I pointed out that we dragged the bedding and pillows downstairs as well as had to move their defective microwave, and all he offered was a "sorry". He then offered me a 20% discount for our next stay! WHAT?! NO THANKS! I'LL PASS! NO WAY, NO HOW! Only reason I didn't give 1 star is that the night person did seem like he would have made things right if it was in his control.

We found bed bugs in our room, the bathroom was filthy. The older gentleman that checked us in was kind and helpful, the man that checked us out was not. One of the staff was also playing with a tennis ball in the parking lot and loitering around, he ended up hitting our car with the ball. We checked out early and were not able to get a refund.

The breakfast was average and predictable. The biggest probkem becane the bed which was so high off the ground that I had diffivulty getting in. Had to get a running jump. Would be difficult with a handicap.

Affordable hotel, easy check in, nice breakfast, and free parking all in one. The location is pretty good since it's close to lots of restaurants and Lake Michigan as well.

Great location and good breakfast. The room’s bed are very comfy and new. The fact that it was flooring and not carpet was a great surprise. The water pressure in bathroom was weak. We stayed there on 2 occasions in past month. Would stay again.

Nothing to like. Pulling into the parking lot looked like a war zone. There were pubes on the bathroom floor and the room was dirty. After we went and got something food in town we packed up and checked out . It was bad enough not to even stay one night , totally ruined the trip.

Most disappointing is that it wasn’t a cheap hotel. Not high end but definitely not cheap. So frustrating. Also, disappointing that every review from the last year has had the same complaints and the hotel management responses to everyone apologizing and promising corrections and changes. Yet it remains the same. Seems they could care less about their customer and their experience. Pocket the money and scam the next person traveling through. Very disappointed. Had it not been so late at night, we would have moved to a different hotel.

Pleasant

Front desk was friendly and accomodated our requests. Room was clean and breakfast fair. Location is close to Culvers, Texas Roadhouse, highway and gas starion. Bit concerned with one nighters, panhandlers and the light in the parking lot. Fortunately we slept well, zero issues.

The fridge and microwave in the room we had when first arriving did not work. The front desk attendant was able to move us to another upgraded room at no extra charge. Pool was very clean and breakfast was average for a hotel breakfast. Overall we had a nice stay.

Hair in the ice bucket, floors were dirty, someone's socks under the sink. Towel hook torn off bathroom door, dirt splotches on the walls. Waited for more than 5 minutes for the desk clerk and hallway dark because light was out.

Price. Location Noisy neighbors until 1 am . Manager not helpful . Bathroom nasty water leak . Mold starting . Smelly
