It was a busy weekend at the hotel. They were down to one elevator, so that was a bummer. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The breakfast was ok, sausage needed to be more cooked. Nice having coffee in the lobby for 24 hours. Location was great and near a lot of things. Room and facilities were clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and festivities going on during our stay! I would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thanks for a great staycation!

The hotel was clean but there was only once working elevator for four floors and all guests. For the amount the room cost I would expect everything to be in working order. The breakfast served was ok, but other holiday inn express that i have stayed at have had more options. I tried to get oatmeal at breakfast but it was completely gone and nobody was working on replenishing it. Breakfast had started about two hours ago so it wasn’t close to being finished.

The room itself was clean. The switches/lights didn’t work. Had to manually turn on the lights by the beds as the lamp is the one that didn’t work. The shower didn’t drain properly which grosses me out. Air conditioner worked great! Breakfast was decent.

My check-in experience at this Holiday Inn Michigan City was disappointing. I waited at the front desk for about five minutes before a staff member came out. Instead of greeting or assisting the guests who had been waiting in person, she answered the phone and helped the caller first. It was frustrating to stand there waiting only to be overlooked in favor of someone calling in. A simple acknowledgment or checking in the guests who were already at the desk would have made for a much better first impression.
