Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland Airport

First unit they gave us didn’t have AC and it REEKED of cigarettes. So the front desk worker gave us the key to another unit. That one was fine but it still reeked of cigarettes. The front desk lady was super nice. She was extremely helpful and understanding. The second unit was dirty. There were hairs in both of the bathtubs and the toilets were dirty. We didn’t bother telling the woman up front because it seemed like she was the only worker there and she was running back and forth between the front desk and a unit near the front office to presumably clean it. Again, the staff was not the issue. She was a great help and super nice. The hotel on the other hand could’ve been better.

Room smelled like wet dog, no shampoo available, carpet was dirty. I think for $70 dollars a night I put up with it. The worse thing I realized before I checked out was the 3rd and final night the rate jumped to $248 a night! This hotel is not worth $70 a night, and yet because it was a busy weekend in town they jack their rates up to a 4 star hotel rate. Never again will I stay at this property. I wrote the GM no response, imagine that. No pool, nothing but a stinky room.

When I checked in the room was dirty the sheets was never change the bathroom floor was dirty it was a condom wrap on the floor the was a bad experience

Closet doors were in the middle of being installed. Had i known, i would have brought tools to do it. TV was unwatchaable/old? i changed the setting so i could watch a little but they needed to be readjusted each time. Queen size bed came with 1 horribly misshapened pillow. Staff gave me 2 new ones the next day, but somehow my origional resrevation that was for 2 days, got caancelled when i made a change to arrive 1 day sooner. Most likely a hotels.com issue, but got kicked out and had to find alternate accomodations.

The suite was filthy. Carpets looked as if not cleaned in years- stains in carpet. Looked as if carpets had not been vacuumed. When I inquired, I was told the place is under construction. Shower water was boiling hot. The pull out sofa had stains on the sheets. Pool was “under construction”. Web site said early July. The pool is still not functional and it doesn’t look like any work is going on. Staff was not helpful. Each time people staying there went to front desk we were told the manager is not in. When my husband called about charges, we got same run around. This ruined our weekend. So disappointing all around. TERRIBLE! People in our group left the hotel to go elsewhere.

Property is rundown. Rooms are a bit rundown. Pool closed. There were stains on carpet, paint peeling. We had a kitchen but dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher. My toilet was unlevel, somehow. The fire alarm went off at 6:00 am both Saturday and Sunday morning. If we stayed another day it probably would’ve gone off again. Glad we weren’t around to find out.

This is a very rundown hotel. I was told by the staff there that people usually stay for months here and not a day or a week. It's not well maintained at all. Not sure how Expedia even lists it. The microwave has holes on the top. The kitchen cannot be used at all except for the fridge. The bathroom has a lot of soil spots and the flush doesn't work unless you hold the lever inside the tank until it fills the whole tank. The beds are ok. Please do not stay at this place if you are a casual traveler.

The rm was old and did not seem to have been used in a while.Stale smell, with a foul Odor coming from the carpet near bed. Stains in the ceiling, and bathroom ceiling. Phone was filthy. Finally the power went out on the last day, which may not have been ur fault.

I checked in, staff was very nice! But when I got to my room someone was in it already, very embarrassing! Went back to the office, they were very apologetic and could not figure out what happened, they ended upgrading me to a loft suite.. very spacious but needs some serious cleaning. I appreciate the staff but please, run a vacuum and sweep/mop the floors,, its very hard to watch tv when I'm staring at the year old cobwebs on the ceiling! Thank you for the upgrade and being accommodating.

This is a dated property, supposedly undergoing renovation. I don’t mind tgat so much, but our room was dirty upon check in. Trash behind the nightstand, and the floors hadn’t been cleaned. There was broken items and a leak near the bathroom sink. There was a lot of room, but the kitchen has no pans or utensils to cook with. If you plan on using the kitchen, bring your own stuff! There seem to be quite a few long-term residents, and there was plenty of “sweet perfume” in the air outside the buildings.

The room smelled like old mildew clothes. The carpet was dirty. There was no soap in the room. The tissue was recycled.

Kitchen had 2 of everything...plates bowls n utensils...but no pots or anything to use the stove so kinda pointless
