The Carriage House Inn Newport

A very quite place to stay if you are looking to stay away from a populated area location that can bring a lot more activity with added noise. Location is a short driving distance to a lot of activity. They also have a sister location with more offerings.

Absolutely beautiful, quaint place to stay! We stayed in the presidential suite, which had 2 king beds and a nice sitting area. The room was nice and clean, and perfect for our family. I would definitely stay here again. The staff is lovely too! Very helpful and even let us know another one of their properties had a pool for our kids to use (since this propery does not have a pool). We genuinely enjoyed our stay! 🙂

The hotel was very close to all the scenic spots. The staff was helpful. The rooms where clean and there was a pick and go breakfast sandwiches, juices and snacks. Plenty of parking. They are not pet friendly but did make a special arrangement with me and my small dog. I am very grateful.

Smooth check-in with friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable, but much smaller than expected

Stayed for a long weekend. Room very clean, with basic amenities. Beds were very comfortable. Room lacked proper lighting with 2 lights out and when asked front desk person to replace lightbulbs or request a light bulb it was quickly dismissed. They lacked hospitality. Not very accommodating certainly did not make us feel welcomed.

Keith was great at check in and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was really big and the location was great. Short drive to everything in Middletown and Newport.

Older property that was clean and well cared for. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Would definitely come back.

Hotel really was not that great only a 27 inch TV had a hard time seeing TV from the bed and the windows in the hotel were absolutely filthy

The location was great. It was close to downtown Newport. There was nothing about the property that I didn’t like.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The older gentleman at the front desk was very nasty. He was not hospitable and was always making snide comments.

It was just a cute place to stay for 2 nights. Well maintained with lots of history.

We enjoyed the atmosphere of not being a sterile, corporation run hotel, but a local establishment with charm.

The continental breakfast was very nice, the staff were pleasant, and the main area was beautifully decorated. The location was also very convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, museums, and other attractions. We appreciated the excellent customer service and would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to stay. Only 10 minutes from from Main Street Newport. Very clean and quaint. You will not be disappointed. Make this Inn your destination when enjoying Newport RI
