The room was clean but outdated. The room temperature control system is strange. It is summertime, but the room's default temperature is really cold (67F). There are two temperature control panels. One did not seem to work at all. The other controls a heating airflow, which is really noisy. Turning it off would shut off the noise, but the room became really cold... Other than the temperature and noise issues, the room was okay. The staff is nice and friendly.

Average stay. Quiet. Good location. Rooms & elevators could use some updating.

We have not gotten our refund it's been almost a month and they keep giving us the run around

My stay was largely fine. However, on the first night my smoke alarm woke me in the middle of the night by chirping with no reason. It did stop without intervention. The desk person said they'd have it looked at while I was gone the next day. Then, on my last night of a 5 day stay, not only did the alarm chirp, but it started going on and off at full volume. This was 2:00 AM and I needed to move rooms. Clearly, nobody looked at the alarm after the first incidence.

First, they DO NOT validate parking!! So our real cost for 3 nights was at least $100 more than expected because of parking! The common areas were consistently dirty--swept piles left on the floor, stains allll over the carpets, full trash cans, leaky ceilings, etc. The staff seemed to perform only the basic duties, and while they were helpful at times, there was a lot that could have been better. Lastly, there was a fire alarm at 2:00 am one night! It was a false alarm, but we did have to evacuate the building. The staff did not give any information to people standing on the sidewalk during or after the evacuation. I would NOT recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites Milwaukee Downtown.

The hotel was very conveniently located for the RiverWalk and parking was attached to the garage, which was nice. The facility wasn't the cleanest, but it was fine for a quick stay.

Check in was quick. Staff was very friendly. We received complimentary water and trail mix at check in. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night. We did not have the free breakfast but it looked good! Will stay here again when visiting Downtown Milwaukee. Would recommend.

There were a couple of issues that affected our experience. We arrived at 6:30 PM on the day of check-in, even though check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM, and our rooms were still not ready. We had to wait before we could settle in, which was frustrating after a long day of traveling. Additionally, the fire alarm went off one night, which was very disruptive and interrupted our sleep. While we understand that emergencies and false alarms can happen, it still had a significant impact on our stay. Overall, we enjoyed the rooms and especially the breakfast, but the delayed check-in and nighttime fire alarm kept our experience from being as enjoyable as it could have been.

Shocked by the low ratings. Property was an amazing.

Excellent place
-
Toilet clogged. Called the desk and no one ever came to fix it. Dirty linen in hallway for hours. Bed cover had stains.

Location was nice.

Clean room, easy parking in ramp

Clean property. Check in staff was very helpful. Elevators and a few spaces were a little dated but not terrible. Excellent location to walk to restaurants and amphitheater. Overall great experience. We did not eat breakfast so not sure how it was.

The staff was incredibly friendly and you can’t beat the location for exploring downtown Milwaukee. Simple stay but if you’re in town this is a great option!
-
The fridge ran loudly and the room didn’t have a lot of light options. We found a pair of underwear behind the bathroom door so not a thorough cleaning job prior to our stay. There were spots throughout the floor that sunk, suggesting some rotting wood beneath the carpet. The hallways were pretty run down, visibly dirty/stained carpeting and damaged walls. Breakfast was really good and staff were generally pleasant but I’d likely stay elsewhere next time.

Great service at the desk
-
Loud machines in the 8th floor
-
Mold in the bathtub….. super strong chemical smell in the hallway. BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST THING.
-
Great walking location to Milwaukee hot spots! Complimentary breakfast and Public Ramp parking access from the hotel. Staff were helpful and accommodations were good.
