Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel

Wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel and Milwaukee in general. Top tier stay!

Great and friendly staff, clean and visually appealing, very comfortable beds, great bar, my friend and I had a great time there.

The Saint Kate is a very unique hotel. Very comfortable, very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay during Summerfest. The grounds were a bit of hike at a bit over a mile, but transportation was easily found and reasonably priced. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're in town.

Great hotel, great downtown location

St. Kate’s is a lovely property. It has interesting art, great bar area with live music and a good location for exploring Milwaukee. However, we am more inclined to stay at Marcus’s other hotel, The Pfister. It is elegant, sophisticated and more suited to my style. Our stay at St. Kate’s was not without issues. The complimentary coffee machine on our floor was broken, as was the phonograph in our room. We did get a complimentary upgrade on the room, but it was weirdly musty and damp. There was a wet spot on the carpet and our clothes felt very damp when we pulled them out of the closet. When we checked out the next morning, the front desk never asked how our stay was so I did not bother to mention any of these issues. I got the feeling they were not interested and just going thru the motions of their job. The customer service at The Pfister is exemplary, hence our preference.

So many things going on in the hotel

We've stayed at the Saint Kate multiple times, and we always love our time! The bar is fanastic, the staff helpful, and the rooms clean. Being surrounded by beautiful art is just the icing on the cake.

This was our first time at St. Kate and we loved it. We were in from Chicago to see a show at The Pabst Theater and found out the hotel is actually connected to the theater. Amazing. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. The bar was a hot spot for sure. We went there twice during our stay. They also have live music nightly which draws people in. We didnt get to check out Proof Pizza but it looked really good. I just wish they were open later than 9 pm. The staff was friendly and very helpful and professional. I only had one issue. I planned to work from the room and take a few Teams calls. The internet kept dropping and didn't have the bandwidth to allow me to take Teams calls or connect to my company secure portal. That was very surprising in this day and age. I called the front desk and was told that wasn't unusual and the best connection was in the lobby. I needed privacy for my work calls so that didn't work for me. Upon reviewing my bill I see they charged $10.00 for high speed internet. That was disappointing considering it wasn't really functional. My only constructive suggestion is to get your internet up to speed so guests can accessit in their rooms. I would definately stay here again, especially if going to a show, and hope they get the internet worked out. It was overall a really great experience.

A unique hotel with its fabulous art exhibit and great bars, restaurants. Highly recommend recommended.

Large guest rooms, comfortable beds, need more room lighting. Staff very professional and helpful, except the bartenders in lobby bar, 4 of them chatting and completely oblivious of guests, two days running, very unprofessional. Even when we managed, after waiting 10 minutes, to catch the eye of one of them and asked for a menu, he replied, I’ll get the server for you , and went back to chatting. The server, on her own, was running from one guest to another, including people sitting at the bar, but these guys couldn’t be bothered to help. I have a minority interest in Seattle restaurants and advise other restaurant owners. I would fire the bartenders one by one until they got the message. Utterly unprofessional.

Such a cool hotel! Great music in the bar. Champagne at check-in. Record players in the room. Perfect location!

What a truly great hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Art throughout is thought-provoking. Location is extremely convenient to Maders, Usingers, the River walk, and not far from the lakeshore. The price was extremely reasonable.
