Red Roof Inn Plus Pittsburgh East - Monroeville

You get what you pay for. I'm not picky, but the hotel is definitely gross. The property is filthy and not maintained, there is garbage and rotting food all over the place and some areas carry the stench of decay. My room was sticky, I had to wear Crocs because the floor made my feet filthy. There were cigarette burns and large tears in my bedding. The furniture was dirty and not well-kept. The shower curtain was dirty and the sink had hair in it. It was fine for an affordable Pittsburgh convention stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Elevator was down. Sheet and bed had brown stains. Toilet would not flush. We checked out. They refunded the nights we did not stay.

Unfortunately the property environment is not ideal for families with small children. People were smoking there most of the times, even the blankets have cigarette burnt holes which they haven’t changed. Beds are squishy, likely to get back pain. The room itself smells bad. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends.

Convenient location. Dingy, gray sheets (rumpled, looked like someone had already slept in them), even though we paid extra for "premium bedding." Property is filthy and disgusting. A/C was loud and annoying all night long, but didn't really cool down the room. "Bath towels" were paper thin and more the size of wash cloths.

Elevator wasn't working. That problem should be announced in the website before you make a reservation. Cracks and splinters in a handrail that's in the parking lot. That's a safety hazard.

The evening staff was able to help with relocating me to another room and assigned me to the main floor The elevator was broke and I had to drag my bags up to the third floor to find the room not prepared, beds not made air conditioner was broken!!! The new room water pressure was bad toilet was stopped up and had to plunge myself!!!! I never had a bad review at this location.

We tried to watch tv but it was difficult.

I booked for twobdays but move out because of smoke smell in the room Didnt liked at all

A/C was loud, amenities were sparse, room was tired but clean, didn’t feel I got value for money.

the room was not clean. I spilled water on the floor and the towel I used to wipe it up came up literally black. the sheets on the beds looked dirty so I asked for replacements from the laundry. The gentleman there gave them to me and was polite even though I am pretty sure he didn't speak english so did not understand why I was asking for clean sheets or handing him the dirty ones. what little grass there was for canine guests to do their business was filled with old poops other guests had not bothered to pick up. at night, the hotel lot was very full with cars but the few other guests that we saw around the hotel looked sketchy and I did not feel safe.

Good to stay

I have been to this place several times within the past 5-6 years. This was definitely the worse. This new ownership is HORRIBLE. The place needs a good clean inside and out ! My room was dirty underneath the beds and underneath the furniture. The outside rails going up the stairs were dirty and dusty. The stairs were dirty. The elevator didn't work. I am a senior citizen and my room was on the third floor. I will NEVER stay here again !!!

Parking

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Was very pleased with our room. Will definitely stay again when we are in town. Conveniently located to pretty much anywhere you want to go in monroeville.

The hotel need some update

Good location, no room issues, ease of checking in Safe didn't work, but not a huge deal. Wish it had a toaster or one in the vending room at least.
