Hilton Garden Inn Monterey

This place says breakfast included in the description but they wanted to charge us $22 a person! I went back to the front desk to just check out and the family ahead of me was complaining about this very thing. They were refused as well. Not coming back!

There was an issue with the hot tub throughout our stay and we were not happy with that. We were not able to use it.

They have a great gym. They have a great pool. Downsides- if you end up with a balcony that does not face the pool you won’t use it because it will face the freeway, which is incredibly loud. I was not happy with paying extra to face the freeway where I couldn’t even open the balcony door. Lots of extra fees. Parking etc. The rooms are nothing special, the screen door was broken, the water pressure was not that great . I did not get the opportunity to eat at the restaurants so I can’t speak to those. It’s a mile to downtown which means you have to drive. There’s other hotels that are walkable which I enjoy and wish I had booked. But it did the trick and I got a good workout in.

Room was clean. Location was good. Fitness room, pool and hot tub were also well maintained. Had a fire pit by the pool which was nice. Enjoyed our stay

I had to use the complimentary printer they had in their business area and staff was super helpful and I was able to print out from my phone the information I needed with ease.

Clean room and facility. Good breakfast. Family Friendly.

Our room was not cleaned daily during our stay. When I notified the front desk, they offered to send someone up, but it was already too late in the evening to be useful since we are checking out tomorrow. Person who answered the phone just giggled and said sorry.

Clean room helpful staff

Room location was horrible, outside of the corridors on the stairwell with no security and not clean. Noise air conditioner, parking was not convenient.

We complained to the front desk. No help. She just said. Its "no worries". No sleeping well and getting woken up early for no reason is a worry. Avoid

A fabulous hotel, a little Uber ride into Monterey Cannery Row but we got the bus which was right outside. The hotel is aimed at families but there were mixed groups and I had two lovely evenings chatting to people including a group of golfers off to Pebble Beach golf club. The pool and the fire pit was welcomed at the end of a long day and there is a little balcony area where you can sit out and not be around the pool. Our room was large for three adults. My one suggestion would be to open the bar area earlier for coffees and teas at least. I know there is a pantry but it isn’t the same. I would totally recommend this hotel and a trip to Monterey.

Great stay

My wife and I just checked out today. We stayed there for four nights. We were very satisfied with our experience clean rooms. Good service , in addition it was centrally located to all the surrounding cities like Carmel Monterey Bay 17 mile druve we will be back and recommend to our friends

Great hotel nice pool and hot tub. Nice size rooms. The only thing negative was pillows.

The hotel overall was clean. Unfortunately we had a large dog above us that wanted to play in the middle of the night, we do love animals but not getting sleep wasn't good. The pool was really nice with cabanas and all the time fire pit there to enjoy by the pool. The staff was very tentative and accommodating to us.

The property and the staff are lovely. It was a very convenient location for us being near the college. The only con is that you can hear everything in the hallways and in other rooms. The doors have gaps around them and we could hear everything our upstairs neighbor was doing.

Room was clean and comfortable and we also used the gym. Wish there had been a buffet breakfast, but we went to a nearby Starbucks instead.
