Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place

This was probably the fourth year we’ve spent tonight at this hotel as we were driving north. We like the location near the river and usually just walk up the path to find a restaurant for dinner. This year it was pouring rain and so we ate in the hotel restaurant and that is a nice facility. I didn’t appreciate having to pay extra for parking way down the hallway, past another building and especially when there is literally nowhere else to park.

Nicely located on the riverbank, 10 minute walk to the nearest restaurants in a little bit more than 15 minute walk to downtown. Attention to detail is a little bit missing. For example, the swimming pool area needs a refurbishment or at least a deep cleaning as it’s aged. Breakfast has to be paid extra and is provided in the buffet style in the restaurant. But the buffet was so cool. I’ve seen even better breakfast to face included in the room rate (and that means a lot in America). There was citrus flavored water provided in the lobby, but one time I passed by there were no cups. The second time I passed by there were cups, but it was empty.

They were extremely accommodating for our family.

Close proximity to WVU campus, fabulous beds and pillows, great service. Long haul between parking garage and room.

Excellent stay as always. Great room, charming staff, lovely waterfront walk, nice restaurant. We’ll be back through in September.

Staff was great hotel was excellently maintained food was great. The only complaint I have was parking was a pain. The garage was so far from the front desk (opposite sides of the huge property)

Room was clean but not well swept. Beds need to be updated they were a little flimsy. Everything else was clean and staff exceptional. Kudos to John who helped me modify my stay due to tornado watch. Also, a big kudos to Brach who also helped us at check in. He was very friendly, genuine, and down right relatable! My room was pricy for one night and I didn't get to use my work discount due to being booked up, still yet it was worth the stay! Excellent job Marriott Waterfront!

The didn’t even give me room service on my day. The room garage cans were full. They don’t even provide water in the room even though I am a Marriott Bonvoy member.

We had a quick one night stay, but room was comfortable, clean, and good size with a view of the river right outside the window. Beautiful! Restaurant was decent and food was good.

Very dirty

Hotel is very nice, but very long walk from parking garage to hotel. Great if you are attending an event. My disappointment has to do with stocking coffee in room. Only one serving of coffee. Had to go to front desk to get coffee for next morning.

Bar was nice.

The room was very nice as was the gym (it was excellent!). I wish there had been bathrobes in the room and the shower floor was slippery. Other than it was a great stay!
