Tru by Hilton Raleigh Durham Airport

Quick overnight stay but must say from Essence at front desk to the breakfast area staff the service was above and beyond.

Friendly staff prompt to help and assist with anything you may need.

The Tru was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is very close to the airport, so you do hear the planes landing. I really appreciated that the beds were comfortable, especially the sheets were soft and not scratchy like other hotels.

Hilton, I should have paid more attention. No coffee, master light so wandering in the dark, table and chair blocking access to bed and the customer service was giving directions to rooms to anyone

The close proximity to the airport Everything was done in such a cheap manner. They don’t have standard bell card. You can barely fit anything on the little tripod shopping cart. Instead of leaning towards convenience, the property invested more in the cheapest provisions for clients. Example, plastic ice buckets only found in the lobby as opposed to individual ice buckets in each room and an ice machine on every/alternating floors as all the surrounding hotels provide. There is clearly poor communication between the housekeeping, staff and the front desk. Upon check-in, I was sent to an unclaimed messy room and had to revisit the front desk for another Room assignment. The receptionist commented “this was the third time this has happened”. Unacceptable for the Hilton.

We were literally there just to sleep because we had an early flight out of RDU. (We went to bed at 7:45 pm). The staff was friendly and the room was cute (small).

Ample seating/lounging downstairs Pool table Small gym Snacks and toiletries for purchase at the desk Cons: Pillows Some staff can be “meh” We were initially assigned a room that was not cleaned, so that was disappointing. We were set once we were assigned a clean room. The room size is adequate with clever ways to store your belongings. The tiny mini fridge was a pleasant surprise. The pillows are flimsy, but okay for a night’s sleep. I have no complaints about the mattress. The shower has good pressure and gets nice and hot. The staff in the morning were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was a bit lacking, cheese omelets, anemic pork sausage, yogurt, and cereal. The pancakes were alright… The overnight host was obviously tired and disinterested in emoting even the slightest hint of kindness. Oh well. Overall, it was a good stay.
