Hyatt Place Raleigh-Durham Airport

Front desk staff was super helpful and really seemed to take care of all the guests. I was sitting in the lobby several times and each person seemed like they were taken care of as a VIP. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they only had decaf in the rooms and no full strength coffee was available.

The worst part of staying at this hotel was the airport shuttle service. When I called from the airport, no one answered despite multiple attempts. I tried calling from another phone, and someone finally picked up, telling me the shuttle was very busy, the driver was currently unreachable, and they couldn't estimate a pickup time. They asked me to call back in five minutes for an update. After 15 minutes, I called several more times—first from my phone, then from another—but no one answered either time. My family, including two young kids, ended up waiting outside in the heat at the shuttle pickup area for 40 minutes before I finally gave up and took an Uber to the hotel.

The check in took over one hour due to a staffing shortage. The manager was not present and no one was assigned to cover the check in desk. Housekeeping was calling around to try to find staff. Sad to say, the building and furnishings are also in need of upgrades.

A bit older than other Hyatts but decent

This place is “ ok” but not great. I thought for the most part staff were attentive and helpful although the check in person ( I arrived after midnight) was marginally professional wearing a Tshirt with something written on it which really is inappropriate for a hotel chain of this stature. Also the shuttle stops after 11 pm and that may be policy but wasn’t stated when I booked. The front desk also didn’t answer the phone when I called at all, it just rang and rang. Again this is very substandard for a Hyatt, or should be. The room was decent well appointed and clean. However carpet in the room and hallway needs some TLC and updating. Being an airport hotel there really is significant plane noise beginning early morning. In summary it’s a decent but not great hotel suitable at most for one or two nights if you have a layover but I wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay. They need to dot the “ i” s and cross the “t”s more.

The front desk receptionist was very helpful friendly and kind

The staff was really friendly and were able to help when I needed assistance. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and it was available early enough for me to have it before leaving for business.

This was a quick stay for an early morning flight, but it was great! My room was extremely clean and very comfortable! The hotel was also very quiet, even being right next to the airport. Recommend for travelers!

The cleaning lady took a personal gray blanket for my room. We acquired about it was told it couldn’t be found. It’s my personal opinion that she took it without permission. It should be dealt with. Secondly since the hotel rinse out spaces to Airport travelers that don’t want to pay for airport parking, the parking lot remains full at night and sometimes paying guests have to park on the street nearby. Unacceptable. Staff was friendly. The food was good, but the copy pots were not kept full at all times. Honestly, I expect more from Hyatt even Hyatt place and would not stay here again and given the opportunity.

I first made this reservation because it had pretty good reviews however the pool was filthy, we planned to eat dinner there Sunday night because it advertised a really good menu, however the chef never showed up so we had nothing to eat there and a lot of places in that area are closed on Sunday. Breakfast had a nice selection . The air conditioer in our room sounded like a mac truck. The noise kept waking us up. Needless to say we will not be staying there again

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and the property was well maintained. Unfortunately, my checkout experience was frustrating. I needed to check out around 2:30 a.m., and although the hotel advertises 24-hour front desk service, there was no staff member available. I had to leave a sticky note explaining that I was checking out and despite repeatedly calling the front desk until around 4:00 a.m., no one ever answered. The accommodations themselves were great, but the lack of overnight front desk coverage made checkout stressful and left me disappointed. I hope management addresses this so future guests can rely on the 24-hour service that's advertised.
