The hotel was updated and the new colors and overall look are very nice. Super convenient location and a very nice breakfast that is included are definitely a plus. The only issue we really had was check in. After pre checking in online and letting the hotel know our eta, we thought it would be faster. It wasn’t. Still, the hotel overall is nice and located close to everything. It’s great that it’s dog friendly and all the guests we crossed were super nice as well as the hotel cleaning staff. We’d stay again, but just wish check in had gone better.

Perfect anchor point for our stay before traveling to Big Sur. The two king beds was perfect for our family of four (two teenage boys). The breakfast was the perfect send off before going hiking for the day. Beena the hotel Manager was friendly and very helpful. The deck upstairs could us a little TLC but beautiful view of Morro Rock.

The pluses were a really good location, plenty of street parking if you were too late to grab a space in the lot, and a decent breakfast. Arrive before 10pm if you stay here so you can work with someone in person if you have any issues. Too bad all the issues messed up our stay.

There are currently seagulls nesting on the rooftop, which has created quite a mess in the outdoor areas. The staff explained that they do not want to disturb the nesting birds and their babies, which I completely understand. However, I do feel that more effort could be made to keep the guest patios, windows, and rooftop viewing area clean during this time. The beds were comfortable, and the included breakfast was decent. They offer more than most continental breakfasts, which was appreciated. There is a waffle maker, and they serve eggs and sausage each morning. The coffee tends to run out quickly, and it can take a while for a fresh batch to be made, so it seems like an upgraded coffee system would be beneficial. Overall, we had a good stay. I do feel the hotel is a little overpriced for what it offers. One of the main reasons we chose this property was the double king room option, which is extremely difficult to find and worked very well for our family.

Our stay was nice. Had to go and find staff for more towels because we only had 2 for our family of 4. Breakfast was good, had the eggs and sausage. The rooftop has excellent views of Morro Bay!

The staff is always friendly and remembered my wife and I from our last visit.

Check in went very smooth. Room was easy to find with a nice view. Fireplace is a nice touch. The split pack AC/Heater worked great. Water pressure was a bit on the weak side, and the water never really warmed up. It was upper luke warm at best.

For ten years, this is our go to when we come to Morro Bay. We have tried other establishments to save money but still come back here. The full breakfast, covered parking, gorgeous rooms, soaking tub and location make it so worth it. We always get a balcony room or the tower room.

Front desk staff was exceptional. The facility and room are a bit run down.

A block away from everything. Restaurants, shops and a block & half away from The Embarcadero. We walked everywhere and didn’t need to drive once we parked (checked in). A very cute antique store right across the street. Rooms are spacious, very clean and bed was comfortable. There is a shower that has a jet tub which was great add. AC unit there if needed plus a cozy fireplace also. Parking available with many spaces. We actually got to check in early my room was available which was nice due to arriving in earlier than I expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast available was perfect and filled us up to start our day. There was a roof top area with chairs/tables and fire pit where we took our dinner and watched the beautiful California sunset over the famous Morro rock. It was our first time staying here and impressed. We will definitely return to stay again.

The property looks nice, the room was dirty full of holes in the wall dust all over the baseboards and the bathroom was just as dirty. To top it off the wall AC unit broke in the middle of the night and leaked water non stop even after being turned off. The hotel has no one to help with issues after 10:30 pm and the “after hour” phone number is a completely separate hotel that did not help in the slightest.
