Poor customer service, lady up front was rude and told us we had the wrong place without looking us up. Was very poor service.

The location was great, but the customer service was terrible. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude. It seemed like she was very stressed and overworked possibly and just had no idea how to talk to people. We stopped by a bit early (2:30)just to see if we could check in, and before we even asked she told us to get out and not to come back until after 3:30 because there would be a big line. It wasn’t in a helpful way, it was just rude and brusk. We came back and their computer system was down. OK not their fault but again she was incredibly rude and unhelpful, said we should come back to pick up our card key later which I thought was ridiculous because she had a helper that could’ve just dropped the keys off at everybody’s room that needed to get a key. We came back later to get it and they weren’t at the front desk. We waited, we called out, nobody answered. We went to dinner. We came back at 9:30 and she was like why didn’t we pick up your card key at 4:30 when she said we should and we said we tried but nobody was there so we couldn’t. She didn’t believe us and was just mean and rude again. 15 minutes of digging through her paperwork and kept muttering that she put away because we didn’t show up when we were supposed to, we finally got our key. The next day we tried to use it when we came back and it was not working again, so I had to go back to the front desk again to have her fix it. The room was nice, had a great view of Morro rock but she ruined the place

The issues began when we walked into the lobby of the Motel/Hotel. The desk clerk came out of a back room and asked if she could help me. I said I had a reservation, She asked my name which I gave her. She immediately said you're not on my list. never looking at any paperwork. Then she asked for identification. I handed her my driver's license and my credit card. Only then did she review her paperwork and said "You booked this through a third party. (It must be uncommon for people to book through Travelosity, Hotels.com, Expedia and other services). After this exchange she swiped our room keycards and asked if this was our first time in Morro Bay? We explained that we had lived here. Then my wife added that in fact she worked for the City of Morro Bay. Then I noted a slight change in her attitude. We left with our keys and went to our room 224, My wife upon opening the door to 224 found a man lying on the bed and a woman moving about the room. Realizing that the clerk had made a mistake, apologized to the couple and I returned to the desk clerk. When told of the problem she said, oh we had some plumbing issues today and had to move people around. She then gave me keys to room 226. At room 226, we found only 1 of the 2 keys opened the door. Inside, as we put our things away, I noticed a clock radio on the nightstand was not

Difficult to mauever from double bed room to bathroom as bed was too close to bathroom door. No towel racks in bathroom or place to place your toiletries. No screen on bathroom window. Okay stay but not for the price.

Beautiful location, easy check in process and clean rooms.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Went checked in the office. Staff was very friendly and help. Make sure the cards work to get in the room. The next morning we asked for the room to be made up as a previous guest stayed in there took all the sugar and creamer packets out for the coffee we asked to be refilled. It was not refilled. I had medication in the refrigerator. They shut the refrigerator off and ruined my medication. Also, the place has cockroaches get up at night to use the restroom and there’s cockroaches all through the restroom. they also shut our cards off and we had to get them redone to get back into our room. The Kleenex box that are supplied in the room was also empty and did not refurnish as a wife used to take makeup off.

I made reservation for 2 Ocean View rooms but I did not get it. I told the staff and she seems to ignore my statement and she sounded like I have to talk to Expedia. I did not ruin my vacation argue about and let it go but the rooms were so dark and the towels were so old and smelled. Breakfast area was so tiny and only 6 people can sit and eat. I expected Best Western quality I had before and this one was terrible.

Therefore, I was given another room with a dirty carpet, I had specifically selected a room with 2 queen beds without carpet, since I have a toddler. I was then given the only other room, with a King bed, the room was clean and descent. But, I requested a price adjustment since I originally paid more for a room with 2 queen beds. Before I left I requested a price adjustment, they told me to call back, which I did, but they kept telling me the same thing "they needed manager approval".

Breakfast was not really worth it and random. One day was eggs, beef taquitos and mozzarella sticks …? Coffee was watery. Pros - location was good for walking over to the Embarcadero. Staff was cordial if not overly helpful.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

This motel was clean, comfy beds, great walking distance to the Embarcadero & had a lovely continental breakfast. The staff was friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay here again and recommend! Great place to stay if you are going on a fishing charter as well because close walking distance to the dock.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Would recommend.

Standard motel. Great views. We had room 204 which has a great view of the rock. They have a deck but no pool. Rooms are small. Bathroom is aged. Breakfast was amazing! Muffins from a bakery in San Luis Obispo, yogurt, eggs, sausage, pancakes, bread. Better than I expected. Laura at the front desk worked hard to keep up with the food consumption. She was friendly and helpful.
