La Serena Inn

I was told I would be given an upgrade. When I arrived to my room with all my luggage I used the restroom to urine then went out in the room and realized the outlook was not of the rock and the bay. I had been on the road all day and was very tired I then went down and explained this to a female. I was told I would need to pay a $30 fee if I wanted my original room!!! I feel deceived by being told I was getting an upgrade then total lack of customer service because I used restroom a then was told I would be charged.

Great stay ! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.The staff was friendly and helpful, and check in was quick and easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Even though they were obviously very short staffed the weekend we were there, every one did their best and were polite and patient with all guests. Will look forward to staying here again in future.

The best thing was there was an Tesla charging point for people with electric cars

Check in was quick and seamless. Front desk staff was super personable. Ice machine was the only amenity we used! The ice was great :-)

The staff was great however for early check-in, they charged $30 and we really didn’t get an early checkout. We checked in an hour before normal time so that was a rip off and bathrooms are very small.

Staff very friendly and helpful. No pressure at check in which is greatly appreciated.

My wife and I showed up about 2 in the afternoon, noping to getan early check in. We were not able to due to a housekeeper calling in sick, and that was okay. The employee at the desk said it would be about an hour before we could get in. That was fine, but when we returned at 3.15, we were told the type of room we booked (single queen bed) wasn't ready yet. She said it would not be ready until around 4.30, we had a event to be to at 6. We eventually got to get in arond 4.45.

The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Was surprised to see no more continental breakfast provided. There are also no longer providing customers body lotion in the rooms. Hopefully these cuts will be reflected in the room rates. Always clean and quiet. Close to all the sites. Love the premium t.v. channels when you are in at night. The bath towels could be a little fluffier. Would recommend for a nice quiet stay.

Great place to stay. My husband broke a glass and they were great about it. Offered tips on things to see in the area. Definitely recommend for an overnight or two stay.

Unfortunately they canceled free breakfast. So for the same price you got less.

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. Will definitely be staying again!

Nice size rooms, comfy beds.

The location is good. We were here in November 2025. There were breakfast and drinking water free. Nothing anymore. I wish there would be at least free drinking water.

Only recommendation for the ownership / management is that there should always always always be at least one person staffing the front desk during the day hours. Beyond this I would stay again here and we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was nice, the shower is small, but the water was hot so that’s a plus. We locked ourselves out first night. No one is working after 9pm, so we had to call the emergency number they posted. The lady arrived fairly quick to let us in our room. However, we felt it was odd she didn’t confirm who we were and if it was really our room before letting us in. The WiFi is shotty, and the AC, didn’t work, not that we needed it but we like a cold room.
