The location was very handy. Restaurants and freeway close by. The hotel is "older" but clean.

It’s nice to support an independent motel versus the big chains. It’s an older place but it’s kept immaculately clean. The staff is super nice. I appreciated that there were muffins and some breakfast items put out to get you going in the morning. Across the street is a huge Walmart where you can pick up some groceries (microwave in the room). Best of all is the location. It’s a good base to visit Whidbey Island, a day trip to San Juan, and even the North Cascades. Being next to the freeway wasn’t a problem noise wise because there isn’t much traffic at night. Would happily stay here again.

The location is excellent for access to medical and shopping opportunities in Mount Vernon.

Clean room and bathroom - outside area kept tidy. No noise from neighboring rooms. Comfortable beds. A classic mom and pop motel that's well maintained. Close to freeway and some road noise but kept at a minimum by keeping bathroom door closed - bathroom had window facing freeway.

Great hotel for the price. Beds were comfy, staff was helpful. Floors could use a good scrub but all else was excellent.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is older, bathroom fixtures are quite dated and a bit shabby, but it was clean. Amenities: They had makeup wipes, which were nice, so I don't get their white towels stained with eyeliner. There were no tissues, which are usually standard. I always need tissues. The young woman who checked me in was friendly and chatty. When I wanted to check out the next morning, the "Open" sign in the lobby was lit, and the desk clerk was helping a customer. The lobby door was locked, and I kept trying the door knob, tapping on the door. I'd been hoping for coffee and a breakfast item, as had been offered the guests. I ended up not being admitted, did not get to check out or get any coffee or breakfast. I dropped my keys in the key drop outside and left.

Poorly maintained hotel. Bathroom fosset was missing a part causing water to go everywhere. Shower/tub valve was worn out causing most water to spray into the tub. Hallway lightbulb only worked some times - and some times it didn’t. No bathroom fan which is ridiculous in such a wet location.

Good variety in a small space. Examples: Costco muffins, oatmeal, cereal etc. Nothing fancy but fine. TV controls were confusing, but they came right over to instruct us.

We stayed only 1 night there. Breakffast is in minimalist style with coffee, pastry, instant oatmeal. Bottle water is always available at the office.
