Bar Harbor

No towels initially, no coffee maker or hairdryer. The mini fridge worked great though. Both pool areas were dirty, trash cans overflowing, and the jacuzzi had been filled in with cement. The tv video constantly froze, and the WiFi was nonexistent (3rd floor - it kept saying “get closer”). 2nd to last day a homeless guys was out back sleeping on the lounge chairs, and the last day he was sleeping by the roof pool. The balcony view was the best thing of the stay!

Only reason I'm not giving an excellent rating is because their were no towels, bath mat, or wash cloths in the room and the elevator was out of order, however they already had a repair service on site until late in the afternoon and was there again the following morning. It is an older motel that's been renovated & staff does everything possible to accommodate any issues promptly. Randy was eager to help where he could and allowed a later check out as I'm in my 70's with some mobility issues & my room was exchanged at check in to a lower floor to make it easier for me to traverse the stairs. This was my second stay at Bar Harbor & at the top of my priority list for all future stays at Myrtle Beach!

BUGS! Roaches everywhere. Even with the lights on!!! The TV didn’t work. No blankets on any of the 6 beds between 2 rooms that I rented for 3 nights each. Said they ran out of blankets. Not even 1. Fridge poured water. Used all of the towels for the floor. You can pass a tv remote or cellphone under the front door the crack was 2 inches. The door opened like normal with a towel rolled up under it in an attempt to close the sound/light/heat/ everything. It felt like we left the door open. TERRIBLE PLACE! I also have videos of the roaches crawling on everything. The couch was so bent you couldn’t sleep on it and the cushions didn’t fit or match. LOL! You can’t make this up.

It was close to the ocean So much was wrong, it smelled like cigarettes, it was dirty the doors didn’t close properly, no towels, staff was rude, there was mold in the room my child coughed all night, no tv or WiFi worked.

Needs new beds in hotel

The worst The rooms were horrible, dirty, walls had holes, mold on ceiling and walls, door knob leading to adjoining room was broken, no towels, and a hard time getting my refund.

Location only! This property is absolutely nothing like the pictures. It’s dirty and disgusting. There are literal parts of the wall, falling out underneath the air conditioner, and the doors leading out to the balcony. The fan in the bathroom on the ceiling fell off. All of the molding has mold and has separated from the tub. You have absolutely no towels and you have to go ask for some every single time you need them and they can’t give you enough for everybody in the room at one time. The floor and carpet is so nasty and tacky and it leaves your feet black. The dresser or TV stand was broken and there were no drawers that actually worked to put anything in. Both sinks were completely clogged and took forever to drain. The showerhead was absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. There was water leaking down all of the balconies onto other peoples stuff and into the pool. It was green algae, nasty looking water, and you could literally see it dripping down as people are swimming in the pool. The staff acted like they didn’t care or if you had anything to say they got an attitude. This absolutely looks nothing like what’s on these pictures online. It was absolutely horrendous and embarrassing. The room next to me was getting water running into their room from upstairs when they used the shower. It was just really dirty and disgusting and worn down and honestly almost needed to be condemned. Never going back.

Took 3 days to get a blanket for 1 of the beds. 2 beds and a pullout couch. 1 bed had full bedding, 2nd bed had 2 sheets and pullout couch had no bedding and I had to fix 3 springs on it so my son could sleep on it. I had to fix the refrigerator myself because it wasn't working. Had to make atleast 2 trips a day to the office to get a total of 4 towels because they said they never had any. It was the same way for all the guests to get towels. I killed 2 giant cockroaches that came out of the shower drain and ran up the walls. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and a spot the size of your fist where the plaster was coming off the ceiling after a leak. They charged me more than what the agreement on booking.com said it would be. Save your money and stay somewhere else!!. The staff made it seem like such an inconvenience everytime you asked for towels or linens. The pictures listed are old, the place is much more run down now. The first building the elevator does not work. They had to drain the 1 pool to fix a leak, the 2nd pool has a hose in it running continously because it leaks so bad. We stayed there for 5 days and never got to take a hot shower because we had no hot water. 1 day was lukewarm water.

Hidden fees the moment you check in they added an extra $50 for their own “property fees” after Travelocity charged us the exact same property fee before we arrived, we booked two rooms and both rooms had giant roaches when you turn on the lights to the bathroom they would take off and hide under the tiles there was cigarette ashes in the floor in one of the rooms and hair inside the microwave as well as mold on the windows, you could not pay me to step foot in that place again.

when got there went to take a shower and found had no towels wash cloths had to walk to office to get them found they do not have room service, the paint and moldings around floor are peeling off, bed was ok, very little hot water until midday.

Absolutely nothing I rented a room with a balcony ( more expensive) and the it was not even big enough to sit a chair on. No discount no room switch. I was told I entered the room so I couldn’t switch. I will never be back again

The people were nice that’s about it Literally everything the floor wasn’t clean. Our hotel room was disgusting. We got locked out on the balcony because the door was so old.

When asking for linen we were told we only get what’s in the room , Over all would not recommend it to anyone , it was my first time their in Myrtle beach , I’ve learned where to go an where not to go an this place is a MUST NOT GO

Locations Wasn’t the cleanest

A pool upstairs Beach right there for walking to Strong Bad smell. In every room I went into. Floors very dirty. The smell and the dirty floor made you afraid to trust the cleanliness of anything. Sometimes I needed to stretch on the floor for back pain but I was afraid to because of whatever is causing the horrible smell in there and the dirt on the floor. Crumbling appearance in rooms.

We loved the location and the service was great.. They could do some upgrades on the rooms and property

Location Wasn’t clean at all. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut. The pools were disgusting. Every time we tried to get in there were cigarette butts, hair, bandaids etc floating in the water. The elevator in main building was down, however it worked in the place we stayed but it smelled disgusting every time you got in. The pictures they have attached to this booking are very old and are not accurate at all
