Bar Harbor

After some hesitation we kept our booking after reading the negative reviews. However i have to say, it exceeded expectations. Nice pool, amazing ocean view right off our balcony. Fireworks off 2nd ave pier with a perfect view from our room. Only downside was had to ask for towels from front desk due to no housekeeping. Which wasn't a problem to us we had no problem going. I would stay again and would recommend anyone else to as well.

We were only there for two nights, but the staff was real good real helpful. It was the cleanest you know as far as the inside the room was clean and everything the balcony and the outside of the ground wasn’t that clean, but I enjoyed to stay there and I would stay there again. We stayed there so our little dog could go with us and we was just having a hard time finding a place, but the room was quite nice and all of that, but I will stay there again.

It was ocean front. Bed and linens were clean and fresh. Staff very friendly. Floors were filthy, you had to go get your own linens, no towel bars, ice or hair dryer. Nice TV but no connection. No comfortable chair. Two inch gap under door

Location and price The tiki bar closed too early

Very dangerous area was shooting and homeless hotel has mold roach and was concerned for my heath .so just canceled need get money back went to ocean reef for 75 more was safe clean place.

Beach view balcony very nice

I liked how close it is to the beach. No amenities to speak of except a pool. I forgot my beach towel, please send it to me. Blue and white striped. Room was dirty, ran down- NOT like the picture sent to me for confirmation. Refrigerator was dirty, black mold on door, carpet disgusting! And shower never fully turned off and dribbled the whole stay. And light flickered on and off. Surrounded by the smell of weed and cigarettes. Neither was allowed. Kids in pool screaming at 2:30 am. Room was right above the pool area. Had to pay extra for pets, wasn't posted on web site. Room was dark. Not inviting at all. Needed a coffee pot... I left early.

The room provided had no working bathroom sink. The people at the front desk knew about, yet assigned the room anyway. There was no room service for cleaning. The AC in the room was extremly noisy.

The ocean view from the back balcony was beautiful! Our room was super clean, and even though we had a problem with the AC, they sent maintenance right away and got it fixed. The only things we didn't like were the bed and the sheets. You should really change those sheets! We were pretty disappointed with that, but otherwise, it was a great stay.

Place was in pretty rough shape but ocean front view and beach access for less than 80 bucks while also being pet friendly it's kinda hard to complain much.

No Dirty

There was an incident in the lower part of the building where the police were involved and a girl was crying and screaming, it was very scary because we had no idea what was going on, so we didn’t leave the building for a little while till it cleared. It’s an okay place to stay.

It was close to a lot of things like the pier, right in front of the beach, and shops. It is just an older building.

We liked the location The first room had baby birds outside the balcony, so we were moved to another room in which this room the carpet was filthy. The air didn’t work the TV barely work. There was holes in the sheets and there was no phone in the room so we went down several times complaining and nothing was done. We had the same sheets on our bed from the time we got there to the time we left. Also, the room had roaches.
