Bermuda Sands on the Boardwalk

My room had dead bugs and we could hear the dogs next door bark all night and all day

This is an older hotel, right on the beach, for a very low price. You have to manage your expectations in that way. The good: the location is amazing. Right by family attractions, right on the beach at the end of the boardwalk. They have a tiny lazy river and kids mushroom fountain outside. The outdoor pool was really clean and looked enjoyable. The room was really clean. All of the expected amenities were there and they worked. Even the AC was cleaner than your usual old beach hotel. Plenty of towels and soap in the room, good size fridge, TV, chair, bed, nightstands. We really were surprised at the cleanliness of the room and bathroom for the age of the hotel and decor and the clientele. I didn’t even realize it was a smoking room when booking and it was still clean. We were also able to check in early for no cost since our room was ready and enjoy the beach sooner. The maintenance came quick and fixed an issue with a toilet. The bad: Upon check in the front desk was pretty rude, however, there were a lot of people wandering in and out of the lobby and causing them headaches, so I can understand why their demeanor may have been that way. The clientele left me feeling a bit uneasy- presumable prostitues in the lobby and addicts in the parking lot, leaning on themselves. The whole place, particularly the rooms was very dated and really needs renovation. I wouldn’t really be comfortable staying there with my kids, but that was more a clientele problem than a hotel problem.

location on the beach The beds are ancient. The hotel is very run down overall. It could be much cleaner. I was glad I was only there one night.

Room wasnt clean, ghetto, bugs, dead bugs on walls, trash wasnt emptied, bedding wasnt changed, towels were dirty, trash left in drawers, service was awful, barely got parking... one lady was actually sweet but everybody else was rude or busy on their phones & snippy.

Location was excellent, everything else was not good. It was not clean at all it was in very poor condition. The room i was in had blood on many spots around the room/bathroom. It had stains on the sheets and the towels. It did have a full size fridge which helped. The room could have been way cleaner the build it self was almost run-down in a away. It was out dated.

The two pool areas was very nice, and the ocean front view was amazing. I really enjoyed the “palm tree with grass area” as I had brought my two dogs, so they had a spot to go potty. The property itself wasn’t bad. I would say all the staff members that I talked to were rude, with the exception of one. The cleanliness could have been better as well.
