we loved the pool and water park amenities . we loved being so close to the beach and the little bar downstairs was awesome. we didn't really have any complaints

I want to start off that we have stayed at Ocean Reef multiple times as a family tradition to celebrate our mom who passed. This year when we arrived in our room. It wasn't as we were used to. After working with Ivy, not only did she exceed our expectations but we decided to stay on 1 more day. This resort gives you nothing less than 5 star service. The staff at Cafe du Port are welcoming and friendly from the minute you arrive until you leave. Ocean Reef is our go to resort for our Myrtle Beach family vacation. Thank you for another great year of memories.

Mattress was comfortable and bedding clean and comfy. The large fridge was a pleasant surprise. Location was great for attractions like Broadway at the beach and pretty much everything in Myrtle and North Myrtle. There was ample parking but I did have to use the garage across the street. I was surprised the maid service only included fresh towels and garbage removal. I expected the beds to be made. The room was so damp that the coverlet and our clothes were all affected. I did see a dry setting on the air conditioner but it was too late to remedy the situation. The other negative was just the hallways were cavelike and stark. The property needed some sprucing up.

I am so disappointed to have to write this review!! Me and my family recently stayed at Ocean Reef Resort this past weekend of Aug 28, 2026. Me and my sister took our kids on a vacation and we had a 3 bedroom ocean front condo! The condo was filled with roaches!!! Multiple roaches in EACH room coming from out the walls! My sister is ALLERGIC to roaches and started getting hives!! We had to leave the hotel at 12am with KIDS because the roaches were that bad! All the hotel did was send a maintenance man to spray the room and we had to stay out the room for a hour (another un accommodation) just to go back a hour later and see roaches coming out the same spots!!! We ultimately decided to leave, we were told by booking.com and the hotel that we would get a refund because a whole night was wasted! Booking.com refunded us $86 and said that's all they could do because they couldn't get in contact with the property!!! We have tried calling and emailing the property and NO res which is so unprofessional and unfortunate as this resort is not inexpensive!!!! I do not recommend staying here!!!!

When we arrived it was nice and clean The next day I had to call for someone to take out the trash, I had to ask for towels and wait for hours to get them. Third day I waited for hours to get towel’s and to take the trash out. We ended up leaving a day earlier and I was told at the front desk that we will get refunded that we checked early and we never did I was told there’s no refund.
