voco The Shelby - Myrtle Beach by IHG

No breakfast, no microwave oven in the room. We stayed for 3 nights , no room service was offered. Parking was a problem. We had a suite , space was okay but no ocean facing. Overall it is not a value for the money spent. This is the first time booked just because it is said by IHG. But completely disappointed.

Pet friendly, recommended

The room and property were very clean. The staff was friendly. The view was beautiful. When we arrived in the room, there was no shower curtain and was told some rooms don't come with one. Upon request, we were able to get one that we had to put up ourselves. When we requested extra towels, we had to go to the front desk to get them ourselves. Other than those issues we had a really nice stay.

Michael was very friendly and helpful. he made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

Very clean rooms, excellent beachfront view. Staff from the front desk to housekeeping was very helpful and made our staff worthwhile. Hotel was walking distance to alot of things

Clean room

We had to wait 50 minutes to check in then our tv wasn’t working or the fridge and there was only one microwave in the whole building downstairs in the store. There was one elevator in each building for 100 units. We had no TV for over 24 hours then we were to check out on Sunday and they moved us to a room on Saturday afternoon packed everything up. Had to move again and leave to go home the next day and offered us nothing for compensation.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the poolside bartenders were amazing!

The Shelby was a great place to stay. Michael at check-in was so helpful and friendly. The king suite was huge and very well kept. Bathroom was very clean and had a great shower head. The only negatives 1. The main building where we stayed has 1 elevator and sometimes the wait was long. 2. This is an animal friendly hotel barking and whining dogs made lots of loud noises at all hours. 3. Our bed was full of sand not a big deal but be aware that the hotel is on the beach and sand is everywhere. My husband and I would definitely stay here again!

At check in point.making costumer waiting. Telling them your room is not ready.i was. like what do you mean. Responding room is not clean .literally waiting 2 and half hours was really fun.

Property was clean and beds were comfortable. Checking in was the worst though. The line was wrapped around the whole reception area which is amazing small. Took an hour to just checkin.

Not much there other than the pool and beach. Nothing was very clean, the on-site restaurant was overpriced and very limited, The front desk staff were polite but there wasn't much they could do.

Check in was a disaster. Our rooms were not ready for 3 hours after the check-in time. Elevators are slow, only one for the whole building which is mostly used by staff. The location is great and the rooms were clean.

We loved this place. We got an oceanfront room and everything was clean and comfortable. Very convenient place . Walk to the beach and my kids enjoyed the pool so much. Also everything was close that we just have to walk around. There were restaurants, stores, souvenirs etc. We are definitely coming back. Super recommend it!!Excellent experience.
