Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

Hotel room was very clean but the pools and amenities could use some maintenance and cleaning. Both pools were very cloudy and the skimmers weren’t working on any of the pools or lazy river. Staff was very friendly but you will be asked to sit for a timeshare promotion upon check in which you can decline. Great beach access and enjoyed the location of the Tiki Bar. Beds were comfortable and room was nice and stocked with a broom which made after breach sand cleanup easy.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful and the beach was great. Chairs for rent was a plus on the beach in front of hotel Food was good at the hotel. The actual hotel is old but rooms have been updated somewhat. No daily cleaning service. The area in front and around the hotel was busy. I would not let my teenagers walk around after dark but there are plenty of places to uber too. Pools and lazy river are small and a little cloudy.

Additionally, the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, causing excessive condensation after taking hot showers. The condensation made the bathroom floor wet and slippery, so I had to use one of our towels to dry the floor to prevent anyone from slipping. When I requested additional towels from the front desk, I was told that I was only allowed to receive four sets of towels. Considering that one of our towels had to be used to address a safety issue caused by the bathroom's lack of ventilation, I found this response unacceptable. Overall, the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom ventilation issue, and the poor customer service significantly affected our stay. I expected a much better experience and hope you will address these concerns and consider appropriate compensation for the inconvenience.

The worst experience i’ve ever had. It was supposed to be a vacation and the hotel was the absolute worst part to the point where I didn’t even want to be there anymore. I should’ve read more into the place before booking. To start, the balcony is horrible, not only can you see your neighbors on both sides but there is constant water dripping on you from the top, or running down under your feet from the extremely noisy and rusted AC unit. Also very small, not that it’s a huge problem for me but for the less accessible you couldn’t fit a wheelchair out there or anything else. Constant noise, neighbors, hallway, a lot of ruckus and a whole lot of yelling and dog barking at everytime of the day and night. Got booked into the wrong room i’m assuming that wasn’t their fault and it was expedia’s but let’s mention the fact you can walk RIGHT INTO your neighbors room no warning, no sign, nothing. Just a door to the random people beside you. Awkward when I thought it was a closet or something and I come face to face with my petrified neighbor. Imagine they were naked or something? Just ruined it from day one to be honest. The pictures make this place look SO much nicer. The pool..didn’t even try to get in that thing i don’t have enough room to write about that, the dog turf spot where people let their dog poop? why is that not real grass and artificial turf that stinks up the entire outside walkway so bad the entire time it smelt like dog poop everywhere you went. I’m out of room now.

this hotel was absolutely horrible. Right after check out they send you to a separate desk to "pick up your parking pass" , but instead its a pressure sales pitch to join a 90 minute presentation to sell you time shares for the hotel. Then the rooms are all connected by a joining doors so you can hear every one else like they are in the room with you. The rooms are directly above huge fans that make insane noise. The rooms are crapped and don't even offer a table to work or to sit and eat. The tv barely works as the reception is in and out. Additionally the bathroom door wouldn't even close nor did the bathroom even have a fan. The breakfast they advertise does not exist. There is one restaurant that is a grill and the service was beyond terrible. I would not recommend anyone go here unless you want to be miserable.

The room was below average, but clean and beds were comfortable. Pool was nice and access to beach was great. Staff was very nice.

The beach view was okay but not the best with the pipe laying across it. The lazy pool wasn't very clean. It was green! The jet tub wasn't very clean. I had to clean myself. But overall the staff was very helpful!!!!!

Clean rooms nice amenities

The hotel featured two pools, a splash area, and a hot tub. There was also a small game area where families could play together. Our beds were comfortable, the pillows were great, the refrigerator worked well, and the water pressure was excellent. The hotel was clean, and the staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining the property. It was also oceanfront, which made the stay even more enjoyable. When we first entered our room, the air conditioner was already running, so the room was nice and cool, which we thought was perfect! There were only a couple of things I didn't like. I felt that the breakfast was too expensive per person, so we either ate elsewhere or ate the food we brought with us. Although the hotel room was a great size, there was only one small sitting area. If someone was already sitting there, you had to sit on the beds or out on the balcony. The chest of drawers kept rolling open, almost as if it wasn't level. We also ran out of towels, washcloths, tissues, and other essentials, so we had to call the front desk to request more. On two occasions, I had to call at least twice before we received the items we needed. It seemed like our request had either been forgotten or there was a delay in communication with housekeeping. The thing I liked the least was the shower area outside the gate. There were two stations where you could rinse the sand off your feet before going back into the hotel. One didn't work at all, and the other only had the lower sprayer working, with very little water pressure. It was almost impossible to rinse the sand off our feet and legs. With all that being said, none of these issues would stop me from staying here again. Overall, we had a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Location Pets fee. 165$ for 3 nights it was nothing about that on booking just pets fee can be added. I think 165$ it’s a lot compared to 570$ for 3 adults for same time
