Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

Once i arrived i knew it was something going on with the air conditioning. Later that night the air conditioner got louder and louder sounding like tractor. Maintenance came in to check it and replaced it because he said it was an old system. The next day it stopped working and was spitting out ice. Maintenance came in again and changed it out because it was freezing up. The same night I called again because it stopped cooling. No maintenance worker was there so they sent the security guy in to look at it. He did something and it started back working but a foul light smell came through it. I was tired of calling about it so I opened the sliding door to let the smell out. I went to the front desk the night before I left and spoke with the front desk and she stated I needed to speak with the Manger Teresa the next day for any discounts the next day. I called the hotel back the next after I left to speak with the Manager Teresa but the front desk stated she was on a call so they took my name and number and ask about my concerns then stated she would give her the message to return my call. I have not received a return call from to The manager as of yet. I’ve never experienced any thing like this from any other hotel. It was just ridiculous and to not even get a call back from the manager was more ridiculous.

Clean room, comfortable beds, oceanfront balcony, easy beach access, pool with poolside bar. Didn't like a $67 resort fee added to the price.

The Resort itself was nice. A good value. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurants were average at best. The entire Myrtle Beach area was sparse on GOOD places to eat.

The staff is great but the property is old and not well maintained. Cleanliness was not up to par.

Everything was great the pool was cloudy but that was all I could fault as far as maintenance.it was great property for the price.

There were ants crawling around the pol, and there was very little water pressure in the shower!!

Place was very clean and presentable. Staff was nice and helpful. The view was perfect. 5th floor ocean front did not disappoint. Everything was within 10 min.

I would highly recommend Westgate Resorts for an affordable experience at Myrtle Beach! It’s conveniently located to the boardwalk and the Lyft rides were cheap to all the experiences of the town. Things they should highlight are the bike rentals! You can get up and down the boardwalk! They are located next to a few golf cart rentals that will make traveling easier! Ask for the oceanfront room, but the carnival view is not bad either! Food is convenient on property!
