Mystic River Hotel & Suites Near Casinos

I had been to this hotel a few years ago. I was still satisfied with the condition of the room overall, the beds are great. The pool is closed now. The pool being closed didn't negatively affect my own stay but they may want to update it on the website that it is closed because I think a lot of customers still think it's open. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their fitness center is decent but they only have up to 10 lb dumbbells. It would be nice if they added some heavier dumbbells or some type of universal strength machine. Did you have free coffee and juice. Overall considering the area that it's in is still a good hotel at an affordable price.

There was missing caulking and visible mold in areas of the room. The trim work and paintwork were very poorly done, and there were huge, unfinished gaps around pipes where they came through the walls. Overall, many of the repairs and finishes looked incomplete and unprofessional. Cleanliness was also a major concern. The top blanket on the bed was visibly dirty, and the trash can had not even been emptied from the previous guests. That immediately made me question how thoroughly the rest of the room had been cleaned before my arrival. The blinds were another problem. They did not adequately block the outside light, particularly the constant lights and traffic from the nearby interstate, which made it difficult to get the room dark enough to sleep comfortably. I understand that this is not a luxury property, and I wasn't expecting luxury accommodations. However, basic cleanliness, proper maintenance, and reasonably finished workmanship should be expected at any hotel. Unfortunately, this room fell well below those expectations.

The AC worked good! The staff was nice. Overal, nice hotel is you’re just sleeping over for a night.

Not much, The hallway smelled stale and damp. The entrance looked worn, the parking lot had potholes and the decor was dated. The front to the facility had an abandoned restaurant that gave the hotel a bad vibe.

I wanted to leave as soon as check in, but no hotels were available. Everything, it was not clean and very untidy

There were roaches in the bed and the lights did not work

The property was obviously being renovated and had a strong smell of paint in the lobby and common area. Can't hold that against them. Room was great and staff was friendly and very helpful, even offering me a toothbrush when I asked if they had any for sale.

It is somewhat rundown. Needs a major remodel. We only needed one night, so it was okay.

location was great- local to where we were visiting the room wasnt the cleanest. water stains on wall and ceiling, microwave had food cooked into the plate, fridge had stains left at the bottom. shower curtain had stains/mold. the chairs for table were broken and most of the electric outlets were so loose that nothing stayed plugged in. AC wasnt the cleanest looking inside. The side door to get into building was completely unlocked and actually barely closed.

THE HOTEL WAS IN WAS EXTREMELY RUN DOWN. I RARELY MAKE COMMENTS BUT I MUST SAY HONESTLY WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED AND NOTED THE OUTSIDE, I REALLY THOUGHT THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED DOWN GIVEN THE LACK OF MAINTAINENCE

Not alot of amenities but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hallways need to be spruced up and the outside landscaping would help with curb appeal. Location was great. Mysic Village and Aquarium close and getting into the seaport or on to 95 easy.

The exterior building and grounds were poorly maintained .

there was actually poop on the toilet seat in my room

Conveniently off exit 90 and I95. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms are tired and need updating
