The Dive Motel & Swim Club

From heavily researching the vintage rooms and briefly visiting the pool a year before, I thought this would be a perfect birthday visit. I read the website about the pool and hot tub hours which pool closed at dark or 8pm. This day was the Paradise Road Show which ended at 6pm then we'd get in the pool afterwards, no biggie. Wrong! We walk out of our hotel room in our bathing suits to get in at 6:10pm and they're cleaning everything up and the workers said they're shutting down the pool and area until the next day. What?! We don't drink nor go to bars and planned on relaxing by the pool til dinner. Also no tv in our room. So literally left with nothing to do or go. When booking nothing was mentioned on any of the booking sites about these rules, closure of pool, etc of "Road show" also on top of paying $350 for a one night stay, you would have to pay an additional $74 (2 people) because the road show was there. That was also not mentioned on booking site. I have an extreme gastrointestinal condition which I have to watch what I drink and eat. I carry my water bottle every where. It's became also my security blanket to make sure I stay hydrated and not get sick. I kept getting reprimanded because I was drinking my water outside the hotel gate at my truck in 90 degree weather. I can only eat fruit and my liquid meals and security said I have to buy food from the hotel (which no I can't or I would get sick). During the road show 11am - 6pm, once started good, there was no space to get in the pool to relax from the heat. And no lounge chairs to sit in. On top of hotel check-in wasn't until 3pm. So again, left with an awful experience. I was so excited and had such great expectations but it was quickly not what I expected nor signed up for.

Super cute place to stay with a fun atmosphere!

There was nothing to put our luggage on in our room. We had to use the lawn furniture from outside our door. Staff were friendly & helpful.

The property was super cool and stayed on theme in every detail. The staff was super friendly and attentive! Our room itself was really really dark and to get any extra lighting you had to turn on the party switch. It would've been great to have an extra lamp or something. The drain in the tub was also not very good so any time you showered you were standing in a good amount of water. I was a little bummed about the no TV in the room, but I understand staying on theme.

The Dive Motel is definitely a very cool designed motel. The staff was great, Will the bartender was a lot of fun. The rooms are pretty awesome from a vintage design perspective. One of my favorite things is the disco ball in every room!! The only issues I had were that some of the blinds slates were broken, so people could have peeked into my room if they wanted to. I jammed socks in the gaps at night. The beds are VERY soft, so if you like a firmer mattress, be ready for some discomfort. Also, several of the lamps and/or light switches didn’t work properly, so I had to unplug them at night and back in later.

My fiancé and I stayed in Penthouse 1 & the vibe is just unmatched. The perfect tub setup does exist here! The music choice on the wall was a nice touch as well. It did rain our entire stay so didn’t get to enjoy the pool or hot tub. All in all had an incredible stay!!

Place was fun. No one ever complained about the music being too loud so it was a welcomed change!

We had an amazing time at The Dive Motel! Love the fun, chill atmosphere. The bar was great and highly recommend the margarita! The staff were also equally chill and attentive! We will be back! Even if just to pop into the bar.

The con is that the area where it is located - there is no much around and there is limited parking space. I read about noise (as there is a nice bar there!!), but it ended up at 10pm - so no issues at all :) Wish I had time to enjoy the pool :)

Love this hidden gem! The vibes are awesome, staff was friendly, and the themed rooms are so fun! We will definitely be back!!

This was such a great, quirky place to stay! The staff were super helpful and nice. The decor was groovy and everything was very clean and maintained. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Nashville.

It was all great. Love how this old motel was given new life. Very well done and full of character. Reasonable price.
