Meadows Inn Bed & Breakfast

One of our all-time best trips ever! New Bern is a gem and Amy and Linda have created a B&B that matches the town - quaint, friendly, full of things to do, excellent food. Meadows Inn B & B is lovely. From the beautiful decor to Amy and her VERY caring staff, we looked so forward to each day waking up in the spacious rooms with beautiful linens, fantastic walk-in shower that seems to never run out of hot water, and plenty of space to put away your clothes and stuff rather than rifling through your suitcases. We ferried over to the island where the wild horses run, had a guide to help us find them (and we did see three! what a treat!). On that, be prepared to walk extensively in the heat - we went in August) and fairly deep sand - when not walking the beach looking for shells. Bring plenty of water and be very aware of warnings regarding how strenuous the walking can be - we did over 10,000 steps in three hours - but got some great pictures.) Each day of shopping, touring, eating, and walking led us back to the lovely Meadows Inn for fresh cookies, muffins, coffee, sodas, fruit, and WINE! All complimentary!! What a treat!. We have already booked time for next year and can't wait. Book your time in New Bern at the Meadows Inn B & B. You absolutely won't regret it.

The staff is fantastic! The food is phenomenal and the owner is awesome! The rooms are comfortable and within walking distance to everything! 10/10

Awesome building, outstanding hospitality

We appreciated the quick tour with which our stay began. Our room was large and lovely--the breakfasts were varied, tasty, and accommodated my need to be gluten-free. The inn is thoughtfully appointed, and the hospitality is genuine. The convenient location means that it is easy to make your visit to New Bern a walking vacation. We already are talking about a return trip!

The breakfast both mornings were amazing and enough for two. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay! Not a thing.

Linda the innkeeper greeted us at the door, showed us our rooms and gave us a brief history of New Bern and the clever names of our rooms. The breakfast both mornings were amazing and enough for two. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay! Not a thing.

It was close to the river, restaurants, and shops while still being quiet and cozy. The hostess and staff were attentive and friendly. The facility was very clean and well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- amenities were great too- Location was spot on, everything in New Bern within walking distance- This Inn is relaxing, very quiet, and well run- We felt so safe, and welcomed, and appreciated- Parking was a bonus, right behind the Inn- We will definitely book again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a perfect mother-daughter weekend getaway! I took my mom to New Bern to celebrate her birthday, and this B&B made it truly special. So much of that credit goes to our host Linda, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making sure every need was taken care of. She even surprised my mom with a sweet little gift and card for her birthday, which absolutely made her day. That kind of personal touch is so rare and so appreciated. The rooms are charming and spotlessly clean, with that cozy, character-filled feel that makes a B&B so special. And breakfast? Absolutely delicious and exactly what you hope for after a great night’s sleep. The location couldn’t be more perfect for exploring everything New Bern has to offer. We were right where we needed to be. If you’re looking for a meaningful getaway, whether it’s a birthday, a girls’ trip, or just some quality time together, don’t hesitate to book this B&B. Linda is a true gem and this place will make you never want to leave. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for 1 night. Linda was very responsive and communication was above par. She’s accommodating when we arrived at almost midnight. She greeted us and allowed us a late check out so we could get more shut eye and a chance to walk around and explore New Bern downtown. Breakfast was superb. The dining room was well equipped with fresh fruits and brownies. I highly recommend Meadows Inn.

The Meadows Inn is cozy and comfortable with an antique look but modern amenities. It is close to shops, restaurants and the Riverfront Convention Center. It is in the historic district. Our room was clean and the bed is firm, we slept like babies! They offer coffee, tea and other beverages as well. The breakfasts were AMAZING. They also had cookies/brownies in the afternoon. Everyone was warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
