La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Braunfels

I was not greeted upon arriving Dustin at the front desk was rude and not kind , when I asked him some questions he was hesitant to answer me. He did not even tell me about the breakfast times or anything about the hotel unlike other hotels I been to. I was very disappointed but could no longer cancel. The room I was in was 306 and the next door person was very loud and playing music. I tried calling front desk twice from the landline phone inside my room to try to get a different room but no one answered ! ! I was too tired to go back down stairs. I had to just deal with it all night, you can hear birds chirping all night, cars speeding on highway very loud I couldn't sleep at all. I stayed so my kids could at least get somewhat rest and I was no longer eligible for a refund. I only slept 3 hours drove home almost sleeping in my car. The hallway smelled like marijuana in the morning, but they have a no smoking policy??? I don't know how they don't even notice that. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone if you are trying to get rest and quiet time and area looks sketchy.

Clean!

Hotel and room were clean and everything worked. The breakfast buffet was sparse, but good. The breakfast attendant (whose name I don’t recall) during our stay was extremely polite, attentive and welcoming.

Room was as described and very clean. Fresh smell of a fresh coat of paint in hallway outside room. Breakfast was more than adequate with eggs, bacon and hash browns, with waffles and muffins. Coffee pot in room was missing the filter housing, so could not make coffee in room. AC set at 74, could not go lower without contacting front desk staff. Bed very comfortable and supported, but access to parking area, though plenty large, was limited. Nice stay given few hiccups.

The Jacuzzi was about 2 feet less than it needed. Had to fill it up with the hose, but it was never up to par.

Honestly was horribly disappointed with this hotel experience. There were so many things that instantly gave away how low grade this hotel was. From the bird poop at the driveway entrance that clearly has never been cleaned, the dirty ironing board cover, leaky AC, the ripped shower curtain, the broken shower rod, broken bathtub stopper, and finally the roach that we had to kill in our room!! It was disgusting! I do not recommend anyone stay here. Mind you, my husband and I were only there for three nights for a quick weekend visiting friends nearby. We are not bougie at all but we’re so uncomfortable. We put our do not disturb sign the first night so staff wouldn’t come into our room for the weekend. So due to this they did not refill our supplies. We asked the front desk for extra toilet paper and the large male front desk attendant only gave one and was really rude to my husband when he asked for a second roll. horrible experience. Do not stay here.

Everything thing was great the staff was amazing and extremely helpful from the time Joshua checked us in. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

The breakfast was what I expected - eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, juice, toast, cereal, yogurt. It's all I needed. The price was great and everything in the room was nice. The location was good in the sense that it was close to all of the places I wanted to see. It was not as good in the sense that there was a lot of traffic around it. So, getting in and out were not as easy as I'd like. But it was managable.

This hotel is in a very good location to explore all the area has to offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again when in the area.

Nothing The first room assignment, had an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. Went down and got the manager on duty to move us to another room. The second room seemed better, however at 2 in the morning, a large section of the vinyl wall covering fell down and revealed a fully molded wall behind it. Causing the entire room to fill with mold spores. Went back down to the front desk to once again change rooms. There were no vacancies. Called and reported the issue to booking.com to negotiate a full compensation for the stay. The manager acknowledged that this had been a known issue and they were just passively waiting for more reports of it. The manager shared that the owner would reprimand her if she gave a concession of more that 20-40 percent. Since our stay we have yet to receive any compensation for this awful experience. We will only be satisfied with a full refund. Otherwise we will be contacting the health department.

My stay was very peaceful and would keep returning.

The elevator was slow and sounded like it was on its last leg. The ice machine on the second floor wasn't working so I had to go to another floor to get ice. The breakfast was just okay. There were two trees near the entrance infested with many birds, and if you parked your car under those two trees your car was covered with bird poop. The room was very clean and smelled fresh! Check-in and checkout was very smooth, quick, and easy.
