I loved the room. It was decorated with Abraham Lincoln portrait and other materials. The room was very clean and definitely filled with antiques. Beautiful experience.
-
Excellent breakfast at their restaurant downstairs. No problems were encountered.

Being right downtown is nice, the bed was very comfortable and the a/c works well. The living are is also very nice. The bathroom needs a total overhaul and the kitchen could use new appliances. Also, the deck needs new/clean furniture.

The location Everything else. AC didn't work, facilities were broken or dirty....even had dog food left in a draw

Enjoyed the stay. No elevator did not realize that until arrival. You really should make that information available to guest.

Well kept beautiful property in the heart of New Braunfels. Great breakfast and outstanding owners.

Location, cleanliness and comfort. Nothing all good.

Breakfast and room very nice. See above

Beautiful historical hotel. The location could not have been better. The balcony was spacious and nice on the milder days. The furniture super comfortable and quality. The owner was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. I can not recommend this enough Only issue I had was the confederate pictures. One of the confederate president and one depicting a confederate unit.

The breakfast was superb and the wait staff excellent! We loved the downtown location with walking distance from all points of interest. Poor lighting in the entrance and staircase. Although the bathroom was dated, it was clean and adequate. However, the shower curtain needs to be replaced.

Walkable to parks and restaurants. The living room was never quite warm enough. But, it was a freakishly cold spell for the area.

I was encouraged to buy my own coffee and then they only took $17 of the voucher Housekeeping entered the room while we were taking a nap and left without saying anything. It was very weird.

Location to Wurstfest and downtown

The downtown location was perfect for walking to the shops, restaurants and the New Braunfels Art League where I took a 3 day workshop. The breakfast vouchers we were given were a nice, generous touch for the coffee shop downstairs. The people that waited on us were wonderful, and the breakfasts offered had a nice variety to them. The room was comfortable, had everything needed for our stay. There's no elevator in this 1850 historic hotel so just be aware. We did fine using the stairs...I didn't even think about that when I booked my reservation and my husband made the best of it. Parking can be limited and have restrictions on the main streets but the hotel offered free parking in a reserved spot behind the hotel. That made things so stress-free and convenient. Well, my remodeling business husband did say repairs were needed in our suites bathroom- toilet needed to be leveled and it moves. Shower tub has grout that is cracked, pulling away.

Cleanliness and rustic. Well maintained. Proximity to the road, roundabout/local bars were conducive to traffic noise and party goers well into the early morning hours (Sat morning). Also, charged a cleaning fee of $90.00 and then asked to take out the trash and other cleaning tasks when you check out. Also, a new shower head wouldn't hurt.

Great location

Neat old property. Very clean. Excellent breakfast and brunch right down stairs. Great location. The hotel staff and cafe staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a little noisy at night since it is right on the square (not too bad though). Was quite bright in the morning due to the lack of curtains. Was a bit dated but very clean and still nice. The pull out sleeper sofas were quite uncomfortable for our children.

Loved the balcony. The restaurant downstairs was awesome!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nicely done in a vintage style and very spacious. Aside from baby birds chirping outside our window at 4am the room was very quiet from outside noises. The cafe downstairs was great service and food and good coffee.
