New Haven Hotel

Front staff was great. Vending area in lobby was very convenient. Easy walk a few blocks past many Lil college-town restaurants and bars that hadn't even shown up on mapping... just need to stroll

Friendly and helpful staff

I didn't love the self parking at night. As a solo female it didn't feel especially safe.

Stayed on a Friday night. We couldn't sleep, the commission and the noise from outside drunk young people’s party goers was making it impossible. They’re lunatics, screaming, fighting, and vandalizing. It’s a disaster. NHP should really clean the streets. One of the main reasons for us to reconsider Yale.

It was our second stay here. Good size room, very comfortable and clean, in a good location and with helpful staff.

The location for work The front desk staff was always nice and friendly. Noisie I didn't feel 100% safe on the floor I was on bc it was the floor right off the parking garage. This facility is also advertised on booking as free parking-it's not, its 24$ a night. New Haven really isn't a safe city, and honestly this hotel is highly over priced. Would not stay again.

Pleasant

Excellent location for visit to Yale, particularly the Yale art Museum and the Yale Center for British Art. Liked the secure parking in the garage right across the street, with a sky bridge connecting to the hotel. (There was an extra per day charge for this parking.) Nearby restaurants were abundant, with a great variety of dining far and price range. Rooms were spacious, with a desk and a cozy arm chair. The bed was more comfortable than at many venues in this price range. It is an updated hotel, immaculately kept, and with a congenial and helpful staff. Good choice! One electric outlet/bed light was inoperable. (We swapped the desk lamp over to be able to read in bed.) The parking cost seemed high at $24.00 per night. (On the positive side it was very convenient. We left the car in the garage and WALKED everywhere, because our destinations were close at hand.

Superb

Stephanie Lee at reception was so incredibly kind and helpful. The gym and laundry amenities were just what I needed after 2.5 weeks of travelling. Finally the rooms were clean, had luxurious touches like robes and most importantly the beds were incredibly comfortable.

Front desk staff is outstanding. My concern is housekeeping. Marble rims on the bathroom sink were very dirty. I cleaned them myself after a sneezing session. Bathroom lighting is dreadful for applying makeup. Beds are comfortable.

Room is clean, location is terrific, very close to the campus thus good for a weekend stay Separate parking fee even for hotel clients…I would rather they conclude it in the room price
