It was close to everything. Food and New Haven Green The room and bathroom was small

We had a very nice large king bedroom. We were on the fourth floor facing out over the main entrance on Temple Street. Everything was great until bedtime. The street noise was terrible!! Cars and motorcycles revving their engines, people on the street yelling and fighting in the street until the bars closed…I am sure rooms on higher floors and facing other direction might be fine but beware.

Food was amazing

From check in to check out, staff were extremely helpful and supportive. Valet parking was quick and easy. When I arrived there were emergency vehicles in the street attending a situation at another business and the parking/conceirge came out and helped direct me through all the vehicles. Room was clean and comfortable. I could not adjust the aircon to a higher temperature but was not an issue. Plenty of storage space and nice view from the room. Had drinks in the bar with family and bar staff were really professional and cocktails well made. Will stay here again.

Staff was very friendly. Clean hotel. It was raining when we arrived. Must be an older building because they had issues with roof leaks due to rain on top floor. Very convenient and walkable location to Yale campus. It was nice they offered appetizers for Yale welcoming events. However the apps were very dry and not good. The fruits offered were nice during these events. On weekends it can get loud due to nightlife across the street. It's not this hotel's fault, but just be aware. There seems to be a culture of very loud motorists who cut off their tail pipes and disturb the town late at night. Again, not the hotel's fault, but be aware. Not sure you can avoid it since t these motorists seem to cruise the town. Turn on white noise to sleep!

Excellent and very professional customer service, especially accommodating to travelers touring Yale. Ideal location for visiting Yale as well!

Hotel is very centrally located and ok. It is a bit outdated though and needs some renovation. Other than that, the room was spacious and ok, including the bathroom. What annoyed me though was the fact that the gym was in fact under renovation - but that we had not been informed about this beforehand. We booked the hotel precisely bc of the gym and could not use it. No alternative arrangement was provided by the hotel.

Beautiful room if there was just two of you. great location to YALE. We booked for 3 adults and therefore expected bedding for 3 adults. We had one king sized bed. So my husband had to sleep on the floor. Why advertise that its for 3 when it's not? We paid extra to have another person in the room- yet got nothing for that extra payment? So be aware. Also be aware that it is very close to the 'Green Space' which is in the middle of town. I wouldn't say we are naive travellers..... but there is a pretty large population of homeless people that occupy the streets in and around the hotel which can be confronting. Typically that wouldn't worry us, but some definitely got verbally aggressive when we declined to support them financially. No harm came to us- but we were very conscious that in the US people have much greater access to fire arms and we were definitely aware of our surroundings- despite being in New Haven for a very positive and uplifting experience. No harm came to us- but people should be aware. And I say this having first spent 4 nights in New York City and not once feeling uneasy.

The dining was on the top floor which had nice view but was sit down only and very expensive. Coffee was not good. Again the people were excellent but the vibe was old and dated.
