Cambria Hotel New Haven University Area

We may become a repeat quest.

The cleanliness wasn’t always good. After room cleaning I seen the same paper on the floor for 3 days. Need room spray the rooms smell like sewer or mildew

Had an issue with odors in room. But staff responded appropriately & compensated us fairly

Brand new hotel...very convenient to our destination...would stay again.

My wife and I spent seven nights at Cambria Hotel and found everything to our liking. The hotel was quiet and clean, as was our room. Check-in was simple and easy. There is a parking garage next to the hotel for those who arrive in a car, available for a daily charge though definitely worth it for us. Staff for the restaurant (open for breakfast and dinner) were attentive and friendly. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located for vehicle access to downtown New Haven, Yale University, and a number of restaurants. The Hotel has a fitness room with various machines, free weights, etc. Overall a pleasant stay. We would consider the Cambrian on our next visit to the area.

As a traveling business person there places that advertise “they are the best” and then there’s cambria. Very unique and if I didn’t know any better I’d think I was home that’s how pleasant staying at this property is. I recommend it to anyone who is doing a quick stay at a decent price. Everything about this hotel is very unique. Until further notice this will be my New Haven home away from home from now on.

-clean/modern room -large lobby with sitting areas and a large bar -good/safe parking garage attached to property offered for a low price. Only downside is the surrounding area isn’t the “nicest” but it feels safe walking around during the day and you’re extremely close to the Yale campus/ hospitals. They’re about a 5-10 minute walk. If you’re a street smart individual or you just use some common sense then the location really will not be an issue for you. I’m probably making it sound worse than it is. Similar to any downtown/urban setting.

Modern hotel with beautiful and clean rooms. Really impressed.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Pleasant aesthetic. Restaurant good. Neighborhood not great. Not really able to walk anywhere but convenient to colleges and downtown. Would stay again.

The most convenient and positive professionalism given by the staff. Will stay here every time I’m in New Haven.

Clean property

Nestled in between two parking garages in the modern Cambria hotel. It was moderately priced but the grounds are well landscaped, the facility is very modern and decorated with meticulous attention to detail and very clean. Very quick check in, an extremely warm lobby area and good looking bar. Small store equipped with liquor and snack at the front desk. Our room offered an extremely comfy couch. My only complaint- have to pay for parking! Luckily we scored one of the 11 parking spots on the street.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cambria New Haven University location. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was easy to find and there is a private parking garage with plenty of spaces. I would recommend the Cambria for the amenities and modern facility.

Bar was very friendly and lively with nice staff.

Great and clean hotel, however the flashing strobe light of the smoke alarm in the room and the night light mirror in the bathroom that does not turn off made it hard to sleep. When shared with the staff they just said that’s how it is. The number one priority should be good conditions for sleep.
