Canopy by Hilton New Orleans Downtown

We came in for a Saints/Raiders Game. Had the best time. Staff was exceptional the entire trip. Room was nice and cold - as long as the dividing door was closed. OMG - The shower was amazing! Slept like a baby! Restaurant was nice and convenient. We walked to the stadium and felt safe. Raiders won and it was safe to walk around in full black and silver. We plan on returning soon.

Wife and I stayed here for the Raiders vs Saints game. Both the room and staff were great. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint is waking up at 4am to garbage trucks empty trash out of the large dumpers. It was very loud. I know that is not the hotels fault but it does disturb the wonderful experience the hotel wants to maintain. Overall I would definitely stay here again. I will just bring ear plugs next time.

It was clean, safe and located close to the Superdome. For longer stays breakfast had very little variety. I also feel they don’t communicate the best as it relates to the front desk.

The staff was very friendly & this location was perfect. Close enough to everything but still a little out of the way.

The hotel itself was in a good location. The bedding never really seemed clean!! There were things in the room that were previously broken and not fixed or repaired at least. They also need to include the valet into the room price because it is not convenient at all!!

I loved the hotel, the location, and the kind and courteous staff, especially Ron. He is very kind and attentive.

Nothing! The aesthetic was nice which was decor but the lobby was stink. Unfortunately, this was one of the most unsanitary hotel experiences I have ever had. After noticing the condition of the bed, I specifically asked for it to be completely stripped. A bug was then found underneath the mattress protector. There was also hair all over the sheets and bed, along with dog hair on the floor. I understand that this is a dog friendly property, but if pets are allowed in the rooms, sanitation and housekeeping standards need to be even more thorough between guests. Finding dog hair throughout the room, especially in addition to dirty bedding, was completely unacceptable. What made the situation even more frustrating was the attempt to correct it. I was only brought clean sheets. There were no clean comforters or pillowcases brought to replace the ones already on the bed. At that point, simply changing the sheets was nowhere near enough to make me feel that the bed or room had been properly sanitized. I was beyond disgusted and did not feel comfortable staying there. I did receive a full refund, which I appreciate. However, I was told that someone would contact me regarding the situation, and I never received a call or any follow up. I have been a Hilton member for years and have never experienced anything like this. Clean bedding and a properly sanitized room are basic expectations when staying at any hotel. This experience fell far below the standard I have come to expect from Hilton, and unfortunately, I will never return to this property.
