Beautiful place, great hosts

Room was comfortable, and very spacious. Bed was soft and blankets/sheets/pillows were perfect. Fridge was full of various waters and sodas, as well as a tea kettle and coffee pot to make our own tea and coffee throughout the day. The entire house had so many beautiful art pieces to observe, as well as many different sitting rooms to choose from. All with statement chandeliers. Only about .5 miles to walk to the nearest bus stop. Felt like we were away from all the ‘noise’ but still so close to it, if we wanted to have a great meal or go to Bourbon St. We loved everything! But a few things I think would be helpful to mention, for other guests: There are stairs up to the entrance, then more stairs up to your room. But I do believe this is everywhere in NOLA. Two adorable dogs also live here and LOVE for you to play with them. No trouble at all, but thought I’d mention in case you have allergies. A HOT breakfast is served between 8:30-9am and it was sooo nice. You will share a table with other guests, which we loved. But wanted to mention just in case the reader isn’t familiar with how a bed and breakfast works.

It was very beautiful and the hosts were amazing! Lots of steps. But I don’t mind getting exercise!

We had a great stay at this beautiful old mansion on Esplanade. Our room was massive, the breakfast was great, and the location was perfect. Would recommend.

We did not avail ourselves of the breakfast offering. We chose to sleep in and passed up the 30 minute breakfast period. It was offered each day. Constance communicated several times asking for our arrival time. We answered each time. My husband arrived within 15 minutes of the projected time and was made to wait in the lobby for TWO HOURS with his luggage before he was allowed into the reserved room. Bob did not seem to know which room we had reserved and Constance was away from the house. No attempt was made to reach her or rectify the problem util she returned.

The Happy Place is around a 15 minute walk to Bourbon Street, and the area seemed safe to me, or you can take a bus which stops right across the street from the B&B. The house is large and well decorated, the bedroom was large, clean, and had a very comfortable bed and private bathroom, and a good breakfast was provided each morning. The hosts, Bob and Connie, were gracious, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the area.

Welcoming host and room was nicer than expected. We appreciated the option to borrow a bike. While the walk to tourist zones is longer you have good access to various appealing neighborhoods and parking was free and fairly easy.

Really enjoyed our two nights at Bob and Constance's wonderful property.
-
The house was amazing. Constance and Bob were wonderful! An awesome place and not that far of a walk to the French Quarter. And bonus if you like to give belly rubs to her two Corgis.

The place was amazing and the hosts were so kind, thoughtful and caring. As a solo traveller it was nice to have someone to check in with, get local recommendations, and people to chat with over a cup of coffee in the morning. Also a great piece of history in and of itself! Great communicators as well and I felt very safe. nothing, it was wonderful! They have two adorable little dogs but if you're not a dog person that would be the only "heads up."

The beauty of the interior and exterior of the building All was sweet as honey

I was also surprised by how many stairs there were to get into the hotel, though I was helped with my bag.
-
The property was beautifully updated and walking distance to everything we planned

Location. Listed bikes but they weren’t ready to ride when we wanted to use them. We thought we’d be inside the old home, as the picture showed on the site.

Supper nice and very clean Nothing, everything was great

The owner makes sure to be present when guests arrive to provide a tour and give instructions. She provided a wonderful breakfast with coffee, orange juice and fruit. The room was bigger than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. The room was clean and cutely decorated. It had everything I needed. Other guests staying at the property were quiet. Free street parking. If you are disabled I would check what accommodations and access is available. There are stairs going up to the front door and I stayed on the 2nd floor. The property is about 15 minutes from the French Quarter. You will need Uber or a car.

What a beautiful home this is. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment on the ground floor but the owner allowed us to have a look at all the other rooms which were beautiful. Our apartment was very spacious with all amenities for self catering including washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable and lounge area also good. Constance the owner was really nice and made a great breakfast for us. Definitely recommend this place to stay. A bus can be caught right across the road to take you down to the French Quarter it it’s a 20 minute stroll

Constance, Bob and their dogs were absolutly awesome. This place is magical and super clean!!!! thank you!

More important, the owners are good people you can trust. The breakfast coffee, eggs, bacon, and fruit are delicious and fresh. The home is not in a tourist area, which is why I chose it. If you want tourist stuff like shopping, restaurants, and bars within walking distances, you migjt want to pay more and go elsewhere. As for me, I wanted to get a taste of local New Orleans, and I'd return to The Happy Place anytime. Highly recommended for travellers looking for somethings special.
