Very nice hotel. Great staff. Love the building history and the location in the French Quarter. I would’ve giving 5 stars across the board, but my only complaint would be the mosquitos in the halls and rooms. Understanding that it rained and is humid the hotel needs to do something about managing that issue better.

The staff at The Royal can't be beat. I love the old feel of the hotel it made having to walk up the flights of stairs to your room worth it. The courtyard is absolutely stunning!

Perry is truly an asset to this property. He gives the best recommendations and my daughter and I enjoyed some great gumbo and Po Boys during our visit. It’s lovely to feel so welcome in New Orleans and I check to see if Hotel Royal has any openings every time I go there! Great parking, great room. Happy with everything!

The hotel was in the French Quarter and had a historic charm. There were even tourists who stopped by to take pictures in the courtyard. I know they renovated several years back however the sink was missing a stopper, and the shower didn’t work the way it’s supposed to for hot and cold. The hot water took a while to become hot and then it would become cold after five minutes or so and then need to wait again to reheat up again, and then it gets cold again. Not only that, but the shower leaked out onto the floor. In terms of noise, you can hear clearly anyone in the courtyard and they probably can hear you too.

Our visit was very pleasant. Staff was great. Great place to stay off from the crowds.

Great Location Room only had two electrical outlets and was not very clean.

My room was on the fourth floor and to my surprise, there are no elevators. Carrying luggage in the heat of New Orleans is not pleasant to say the least while having a bum knee. The AC set to 69 and room temp did not go below 77. Thankfully there was a ceiling fan. Parking is difficult because there are only about 8 spots and it is cramped. Although the staff was very helpful, the accommodations without an elevator is not for me.

YES, All of the above. Could not ask for better staff. As I am now 80, I sould have asked for a bottom floor. Other than that all wat great.

Extremely good location! Clean and comfy The woman in the reception made me feel not welcome, one smile away from coming back

Historic style. Balcony is great…except difficult to access - as you’re climbing through a window opening as opposed to a door. Large bathroom but not much shelving or space to store toiletries. Shower was inside the large tub. It was fine for us but would be difficult to access for anyone with back/leg mobility limitations. Room was large. More than one suitcase stand would’ve been nice since there were two travelers. We had a fridge but our fellow travelers did not. No elevators which is clearly disclosed but just remember what that may mean for you and your luggage. Location is easy walking distance to most any popular site but nice distance away from any late night (noisy) hot spots.

Was a nice room. Toilet is broken it fills up super slow. Shower was really hot or cold hard to get the middle. No breakfast or vending Stated above

Very clean accomodations. The friendly, courteous staff was kind enough to store our baggage after our early arrival and saw us off at 4:30 am when we departed for the airport to catch our early morning flight. Great location -- one block from Bourbon Street and two blocks from French Market and St. Louis Cathedral. Wonderful coffee shop located across the street. Air conditioning was very welcoming after full days of sightseeing. Highly recommend!

Housekeeping came at 9 am, which is too early for me and we didn't expect at the time so asked the staff to come back afternoon. However, the houskeeping didn't come back in the afternoon so we had to ask for additional towels.

Very clean rooms, easy parking a short walk away and air conditioning was so cold

A beautiful and quaint hotel in the heart of the Quarter. Friendly staff and beautiful courtyard. Unique and quiet. Their parking is very convenient and secure as well.

The location was everything!!! The hotel only having two parking spots in the front on the hotel. I thought they had like a lot but it was unfortunately not the case.

Nothing. Nothing at all. The room was so disgusting that I stayed less than an hour and checked out. I returned the key within 60 minutes of my arrival and never looked back. I will never stay at this hotel again. The room was filled with various different types of bugs. They were crawling all over the bed, and I unfortunately didn't realize until I seen so many of them on the pillow. They were in the tub, on the bathroom mirror, and flying all around. It didn't help that the room didn't have any window, so there was no way for me to let any of the animals out. Some person kept knocking on my door, and because there was no peephole, I couldn't see who it was. There was noise coming from the opposite rooms. There was no elevator, so I had to travel with all of my bags up and down the stairs. This was in addition to me having to walk over a mile from the nearest parking lot because there was no street parking and the hotel did not have their own private lot. When I relayed my concerns to management, he was very nonchalant then formed an attitude. I asked for my room to be switched, but he stated that all rooms were full. If any of those rooms were in the condition that mine was in, I find that hard to believe.

Room service wasn’t attentive and didn’t make the room the 3 nights I stayed. However, the staff was very kind. This place is gorgeous and for being 300 years old is wonderfully maintained

I was blown away by this place, the old New Orleans feel, the space, the rooms, everything was amazing
