Lovely pool, hidden courtyards, wonderful bed all within easy walk to anywhere in the French Quarter—-you can’t ask for much better

The courtyard was lovely- we didn’t use the pool but we did see some people relaxing in it The front desk people were always friendly and helpful. Heavy curtains kept out the hot sun. Daily room cleaning was nice too.

Perfect location and layout for our 3 -family trip to New Orleans. Love the courtyard, love the pool, both are lovely escapes to hang out together and a gather!

Great Location, large room, helpful staff, nice courtyard. Carpets were nearing the end of their life. First floor coffee area had a mildew odor.

Location was perfect to enjoy the French Quarter. The staff was incredible, professional but friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well prepared.

Great historic hotel with a lot of character. If you like a bit of spookiness, our room was definitely haunted! Great pool.

I loved Place d’Armes before I even got there thanks to Patrice at the front desk! She was so patient with our multiple reservations, arrivals, departures, and payments! She made me laugh when I was stressed! The facility could not have had more character! The pool is gorgeous and the courtyard was being used for wedding pictures, as well as a visit from a ghost tour! The location is perfect as well. Cafe au lait and beignets at Café Du’ Monde in the morning, shopping at the French market in the afternoon, dinner and music on Frenchman Street, followed by a last drink on Bourbon Street. Andrew always had hot coffee in the early morning and arranged for a taxi when we left for the airport. My whole family had such a wonderful time in New Orleans and the hotel! The plaza next to the pool was a great place for family staying in different rooms to gather. I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed for our anniversary and had a great time. Centrally located so we walked pretty much everywhere and the staff was so sweet and nice. Only complaint was that I could hear every door on our floor if people let them slam. Otherwise, highly recommend. And room 203, definitely haunted but the ghost was chill. Would definitely stay again

Exceptional

The location was excellent, close to Bourbon Street but still very quiet, the pool was fantastic and the easy of parking using the valet was awesome. Luggage to the room on arrival and departure was handled effectively, even though I bought a big cooler, thank guys. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Late at night 10-11pm we saw a few rats running around in the courtyard, some traps might help solve that problem, I realize it is New Orleans but seeing them running around while enjoying a glass of wine in the courtyard was concerning.

Great location!!! The walls are thin, so it can be a bit loud, but it was very charming.

We love the hotel location and the courtyard is a peaceful oasis. The pool is a bonus on hot days. The courtyard and pool are some of the reasons we chose to stay here again. The bed was very comfortable. Not too soft, not too firm. Pillows are comfy. We chose an interior king room and we had asked for a 1st floor room in advance and were assured we could have one but they did not give us one upon check in. The room we had was very compact but comfortable enough. Everything in the room was clean. The shower had a rain head and a hand held attachment. Its funny (sort of) that the hand held is mounted so high up that for short people like me the spray hit directly in the face. Some careful adjustments made it workable for me. Water pressure is great. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan. We asked and the front desk provided us with a box fan for some air movement. The coffee pot in our room did not work. Somebody was supposed to come up and replace it but never showed up. Housekeeping staff spoke no English so they were no help. They were very nice though, as were most of the front desk staff. There was coffee downstairs near the pool area so it worked out okay. None of this was a deal breaker and we would likely stay there again. Overall it was a great stay.

Good location and friendly staff. The people at the front desk were lovely and gave good recommendations, as well as helping me with a booking issue. Dark and stuffy room. Couldn't open the curtains as the room was on the guest pathway, so it was dark, cold, and clammy.

Such a beautiful place to stay. We had a courtyard room which was a huge space and quiet. Staff were friendly and a fantastic location. Would definitely stay again

First timer! I would stay here every time. Location was great and the premises were very well kept. I can't say enough about the staff. Feel like we made new friends!

This property is amazing! Let me say, I researched for months before booking here. I searched all over the French quarter and this has to be the best. It was perfect for my husband and I for my birthday. It’s beautiful. I loved the oil lamps on the side of the building. It’s close to EVERYTHING. The the courtyard is gorgeous. Like stepping into another world, really made me feel like I was in France or something. The room, extremely clean, cozy, bed was good, water pressure was ok, very cold in there. I loved all the lighting throughout this entire place. If I come back to nola, I’ll be staying here. And I’ll tell everyone i know to also stay here. The staff was so helpful with where to go and things to do. I felt very safe here. If I could give 100 stars I would.
