The Lookout Inn

Location!

We were not familiar with the section of New Orleans where the Inn is located BUT the notebook on our suite's coffee table led to the discovery of two fantastic restaurants: Galaxie Tacos & Elizabeth's. Really enjoyed the abundant parking right in front of the Inn, the roominess of our suite, and the very comfortable bed.

Loved the location, at the edge of Bywater by the railroad tracks. Lovely, quirky, but pristinely clean rooms. Quintessentially New Orleans. We will definitely stay there again! For us, this was perfect. We love the neighborhood and had absolutely no complaints. If you don't like the sound of freight trains, a train comes through a couple of times per night, but we found it charming.

Really unique property in a great location. Huge, creatively decorated suite. Cozy courtyard area with pool, hot tub, and cabana. Gracious and friendly hosts. What a great spot!

The space was gorgeous! Tropical landscaping, and intentional touches everywhere. The room was spacious and embodied the essence of New Orleans. Staff was wonderful. Whenever I visit New Orleans this will be THE place I stay. Not applicable

We loved everything about The Lookout. Away from everything in the Quarter, but lots of cool bars, restaurants and a top notch brewery steps from our room. The peace and quiet was worth the price alone.

I loved the themed rooms. Then atmosphere was calm and peaceful. I loved the hot tub and the pool. My daughter and I had a great experience

I was totally impressed with my stay here and the reviews are spot on. Everything from the cleanliness, accommodation, privacy and more. The host was very friendly and helpful and would highly recommend the look out inn for great vibes. Most definitely a hidden gem that’s only 10 mins from the French quarters.

The property was really well kept and very affordable. The rooms were a little dusty.

The hotel was very quiet in a tucked away location. The host Kelly keeps the premises very clean and well stocked with amenities. Everything was great

I would recommend requesting what suite you want if it's available. For some reason we got switched into the Elvis suite last minute and we're not really big into Elvis. Would have preferred one of the other rooms just as personal preference.

This hotel is quirky but not too strange. It had a retro feel. The pool was nice and the decor around the pool area was fun and nostalgic. The room itself was decorated in a theme but not overdone. The hot tub was drained.

I didnt' meet the owners but check-in was super easy, they promised to be available but i had no needs. lovely location, the bywater is v cool. not much.

HIDDEN GEM! the innkeeper Kelly was super nice. you can tell they put a lot of work into keep the place nice. super comfortable. 11/10 if I could! loved it all

The Lookout Inn is so cute. The owners put a lot of work into updating this property. The backyard was so thought out for a group of friends staying together. Pool, hot tub, garden, lounge area, snack shack. What else could a person want? I can only speak for our room, but it was very clean and imaginative. the location wasn't the most beautiful. Lots of dilapidated homes and properties in the area but also homes that have been updated. Looks like people are trying to upgrade the area.
