It’s in a quiet location & in a great area to get to the city quicker if you had plans to go downtown… Only thing I wish they had here is a elevator so those who may have a difficult time walking the stairs could get to the second floor easier..

Decent hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful, especially when we couldn’t get our hot water to work. They promptly came in and helped. Room had a bit of a sour smell. Carpeted floors had a sticky film (I don’t know why but this seems to be a common issue in hotel/motel rooms at this price point.) Room was spacious, neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Outdoor security lights were flickering on and off during our stay like they needed to be changed. Overall decent budget option.

Nice, quiet location

The carpet was so dirty that after walking around the room in white socks, they were nearly black by the time I took them off before bed. The kitchen was also a mess and clearly had not been cleaned properly. To make matters worse, the room looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The images were misleading and did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the accommodations. Unfortunately, by the time we realized how poor the room was, it was too late to book another hotel. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this property.

Overall, the hotel is outdated and need remodeling. A huge negative! NO elevator and I have to wait for room on the first floor.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and met all travel requirements. Location felt safe and it was quiet around the property.

Everything was clean though and it wasn’t the worst. However, if you can spend a bit more, stay somewhere else. It’s also in a low income area.

It was a good stay

This hotel used to be military billeting. If you've ever stayed in military billeting it is quite obvious. Unlike military billeting there doesn't seem to be a staff dedicated to keeping everything in relatively perfect functionality and form. Even though hot water came from the faucet in the sink, it did not come to the shower. The shower wasn't freezing, but it never actually got hot. A towel rack had one support connection to the wall resting in a small hole. I'm sure both of these conditions may not be the case in every room. Other than those two things, everything was great.

We had a wonderful stay at Federal City Inn. The room was surprisingly spacious, with beautiful views and a very comfortable layout. We especially appreciated having a kitchenette, which made our stay even more convenient. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and everything we needed was provided. The location worked very well for us. While it is not directly in the French Quarter, getting to Bourbon Street and other major attractions was easy and typically took about 20 minutes. One of the biggest advantages was the excellent value for the price. We felt that we received much more space and comfort than we expected. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly stay here again when visiting New Orleans. No breakfast. But having big kitchenette compensated this.

Maintenance could be a little better.

It was ok for the budget, fridge didn’t work, kinda ran down, one key card didn’t work, odd smell but I put air fresheners in room so it worked out, shower was okish had to force it to work, internet was slow, but was ok. Close to French quarter and other amenities and in a safe area with free parking. Wouldn’t pay more than $60 a night though, had vip Expedia so it evened out.
