Moxy NYC East Village

The hotel advertises a roof top lounge and bar, please be aware this is a 21 and over lounge/bar. This hotel also advertises that you can use either their on site gym or any location gym for free. This is not true. Upon checking in the hotel staff confirmed only the tiny on site gym was available and the hotel had no connection nor affiliation with any local gyms. The hotel boarders late night bars so nights are very loud. Originally I thought this would be a great hotel for families/teens based on how it was advertised, this was not the case.

Room was super clean, staff was super friendly and available for questions. Almost perfect. Big problem I was charged twice for my stay and getting in contact with the property manager and reservation has been a nightmare. Left messages and nobody called me back.

Great location, excellent cafe and restaurant and good staff. They charge $50 early check in fee even if u arrive by 2 PM and rooms are available which is a shame as most places would do this as a courtesy especially since majority people check out way before 12 PM check out time. Also, rooms r small which is typical of a lot of hotels in the area.

Excellent stay. Loved the bunk beds- very comfortable and we’re all in our fifties. Best part of stay was staff. Every staff member from checkin, cleaners and bag check were the friendliest, happiest staff I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. All seemed genuinely happy, so I’m guessing Moxy treats their staff well.

My stay did not include breakfast. Nothing that I can think of.

Perfect location, great lounge spaces, comfortable beds, all at the right price

Room we reserved wasn’t available and we got downgraded to the smallest room I have ever seen. 1 ft around bed and that was it. Offered a 20% adjustment to go from a deluxe king to a shoebox.

Location Small rooms and poor layout

I think it's just a very busy hotel and so sees a lot of wear and tear. but the room and bathroom, while clean, weren't in great shape. chipped paint, scuff marks, worn carpet. Just kind of beaten up.
