Disappointing

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and cozy and the location can't be beat!

Thought the hotel was very good and overall stay excellent. Nice to have a quality breakfast place on site. Two things: finding your room number on the floor was very difficult. Fortunately, my wife was already in the room so I could call her and she opened the door. Second, the pillows were too big and too hard. You really need to focus on this and get them smaller, softer and more numerous. Both are simple fixes and would justify the $800 room price.

I am not sure what I loved more, the lncredible location, free-standing bathtub by the window, the lip-shaped pillow on the bed with crochet and yarn work, or the fantastically friendly and/or helpful and handsome staff at the front desk and cheerful wait staff in the restaurant. I regretted leaving.

The a standard is right in the middle of Manhattan. Well connected and midway to anywhere in NYC. The cooper square, the west village, Washington square, Ludlow, Nolita, SoHo are all walkable and well connected by bus or subway.Tons of options to shop, eat and drink specially at St. Mark’s place just around the corner. We loved our stay walking and explored the area around on foot. We booked a premier room and we had a higher floor with a view. The room was comfortable and spacious for our long stay. The views were great too thanks to the higher floor. The pool was not operational during our stay but we did workout at Crunch, the gym across that’s free for the hotel guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the cafe is great and we got to meet some nice people. The garden is a sweet place and the hotel is in a historic building. We loved our stay and will definitely come back anytime in NYC. Nothing that we can think of!

Wonderful bistro in the lobby. Excellent breakfast every morning and wanted to really great lunches. Love that they gave me a pass to crunch gym across the street. The view is incredible. Can’t wait to go back.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The “premium room” was small, but that somewhat to be expected in NY. The location was great to see SoHo, NoHo and East and West Village. Only two real issues: the room smelled musty because I believe carpets need to be changed in rooms and hallways, and the bath tub/shower configuration was very strange, tight and difficult to use. They tried to fit too much in one space - a simple contained shower would be better. Overall, worth a 4 star rating.

Had a great stay at this hotel; room is right sized for one and relatively low frills. It did feel like the rooms were a bit dated with wood peeling on the side tables.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Will stay here again.

The staff from the security, to the front desk to the housekeeping...everyone seemed to be HAPPY to be working at The Standard, eager to help and ALWAYS engaging. We will be back. 10 stars for The Standard team.
