From the time I checked to the time I checked out, everything was flawless, clean, location was perfect. Would stay here over and over.
-
Great location and hotel. But the rooms are a bit institutional. A little stark.

The ONE great thing about this hotel is the staff. CAUTION: Take the bad reviews about noise and heavy vibration VERY seriously. I did not seek a new room because I spent my wakeful hours wishing I'd read all the negative reviews before booking. The issue exists regardless of floor. Yeah, they'll respond with "had we known we could have responded". They KNOW, and they clearly don't care. Its a known issue. The sound is as obnoxious, strident and grating as an idiot who drives around town with a woofer blaring in their car - only this lasts ALL night! Ear plugs and a pillow over your head won't help. It's not just the clubs, but the acoustics in general from people walking and talking loudly through the halls in the middle of the night, to noise from neighboring rooms. I could hear the squeak from someone wiping fog from the mirror like I was in the room! A hotel has a simple job - shelter and comfort! The PUBLIC rather focuses on pushing out their restaurants, bars, nightlife and events with Instagram moments styled at every turn. But you will NOT sleep any night their clubs are open.

The bed was extremely hard and squeaked loudly every time we moved, making it difficult to sleep. Overall, the experience did not come close to what I would expect from a 4-star hotel, particularly given the price. One of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve had.
-
The hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The front desk was very helpful in anything we needed or wanted. Loved the stay. Would stay here again and again!

I filled out a survey and mentioned that the room lacked amenities (sewing kit, moisturizer, shower cap, robe). I was surprised to get an email from the manager who mentioned that they would have been happy to supply those things if I had asked. My room did have a clothes steamer which was very convenient since I was attending a wedding and my outfit was wrinkly from my suitcase. Overall, it was a nice stay!

This was our first time staying in this hotel and we will definitely come back. This hotel it’s close to Soho and he has so much to offer. The hotel itself is so beautiful clean with a friendly in Worker. You could text them what you need and they’ll take care of it right away. We love love the rooftop. I’ll definitely go back to this hotel.

This was the best hotel experience I’ve had in New York in a long time. Perfectly located, great vibe. Rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. Ian Schrager knows what he’s doing.

Room was clean and staff was helpful.

For a weekday, I would absolutely recommend. We stayed on the third floor over the weekend, and we may as well have been staying IN the club for how loud it was. Outside of the blaring noise until 2am, the room was good besides the weak water pressure in the shower. Loved everything else.
-
beautiful, clean, amazing club downstairs

Following the incident on the same night I was double charged, but luckily I had my card locked. I received two other miscellaneous charges from the hotel as well. & when questioning they claimed they couldn’t see it & had me to send screenshots. No results. Outside of that it was Great. Rooftop, both indoor & outdoor were a vibe. Grown & sexy downstairs. I loved it. Had a ball nyfw weekend

Clean room, kind staff, great location. The room was small but roomier than other NYC hotels I've stayed in. It was very cozy and comfortable to sleep in. There was a good amount of storage space. The location was amazing--easy uber/lyft pick-ups/drop-offs, great walking location to so many places, and right by many subway lines. I was on the 5th floor and didn't hear traffic or loud sounds at night. I could hear doors closing/opening around my floor, but couldn't hear people/conversations. I absolutely plan on returning to this hotel, it's my new favorite one as a solo traveler/frequent visitor of NY.

amazing place! rooftop is gorgeous!
-
Staff were all really friendly and place and location was perfect.
-
I stayed there two years ago for fashion week and it was a classic experience. This trip was taken over by influencers and randoms headed to the rooftop. For the price of a great room I won’t go again. At least, not that weekend. The The HotelChelsea is always consistent. Better fit if wanting vibe and class.

I have been to nyc 3 times every time I have always stayed here!! I absolutely loveeeeeee the stafff ! They are the best!! The room is stunning and clean!! I have always returned due to great customer service. I don’t think I can stay at any other place when I come to nyc now.

Room was small but clean and comfortable. Fire alarm had been pulled the night we arrived and there is only a kiosk for check-in which made for a difficult late arrival. Elevator stopped working to the rooftop and we weren’t able to take advantage of the brunch or space due to it being shut down. The water machine was broken on our floor but staff kindly brought us bottled water if asked for. Overall a good experience but disappointed that there was no credit or reduction in cost based on the rooftop not being available and being a major attraction for this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times but this time I was surprise. I called the front desk to inform them that my TV was not working. They sent an electrician up to my room and he was unable to repair it; he informed me that he’ll tell the front desk and they’ll give me a call to switch my room with a working tv. The front desk never called; so I had to call them. A gentlemen picked up and was immediately rude and informed me, “well we’ll just give you a $50 credit; so what would you like to do…” I politely hung the phone up, packed my things and checked out early within the next 2hrs; I went to the front desk a polite lady named Ms.Clark checked me about and I booked at another hotel for night. I was suppose to stay from Friday to Sunday; but after that rude call of the unprofessional gentlemen I simply packed my stuff and checked out early.

Great hotel, just very pricey. Seems construction is happening in restaurant, so that was unavailable.
