The Gatsby Hotel

Justin!!! Amazing guy at the reception! Position was good and view from window was ver nice! Room a bit small, but I guess it’s normal in NYC and it was a bit annoying that they don’t give you a key, so everytime you need to disturb the guy at the reception to enter your room.

Friendly and helpful staff Key cards don't work - had to be escorted to room. Hotel front door broken - so had to manually open the sliding door. Or was left open and tons of bugs inside

Justin, the guy at the front desk was amazing! Even when he had to run from room to room every 2 minutes to open their rooms cause the keys system was down for at least three days, he made us fresh coffee and was always making sure we were all okay Keys system down Not coffee machine or fridge in the rooms

The keycard system is broken, so the front desk dude had to physically swipe a master keycard to get you into the room. Every time. No Hot Water. Television did not function. Overall, worst hotel I have ever stayed at, lifetime.

Location is great!

Air conditioning wasn’t working properly or was damage it was throwing hot air on this nyc weather won’t be booking here

The Staff was so helpful . The location is excellent. The AC was so nice after visiting the sites. The hotel is older but it makes it have charm.

Great location but you get what you pay for. I would not recommend its ambience or the room size.

Only had coffee and water, but it was very good. I liked how there was bag storage before and after checkout, staff was very welcoming and accommodating, and the room was the perfect size. Also I loved the location, perfect distance from the metro and a bodega for food My only complaint would be that I wish there were snacks with the complimentary water and coffee

This was a great place to stay. Justin made the stay even more welcoming. Everything was clean and presentable and the rooms are good for two. If you want to explore all day - this is the place! Also very safe. Good pizza next door!

Great stay

Super basic, friendly enough staff, although not helpful with luggage. Good location. Extremely high noise level on the aircon so if noise is a problem for your sleep I would not recommend.

Bad

It was a good location however, for the price we paid I was expecting a lot better. We paid around $400 a night for a pretty gross room. It was outdated and the pillows were very uncomfortable. It said it was a queen bed, but I think it was a double. The first night we were in a less expensive room because we booked it later on when we extended and it was so small. The air-conditioning was right beside the bed extremely loud made me sick and couldn’t sleep. The walls are extremely thin. There was also barely any room to walk. I should have read reviews before. The staff was helpful, which was nice and they offer free water and coffee. Overall, I just don’t think it was worth the price I wouldn’t go back.

First time in New York and I really enjoyed my stay. It was awesome
