In general the pool was a complete letdown for me. The genuine value add over any other, significantly cheaper locations around is the rooftop terrace. But you can go there from the street anyway. So, I would question why IHG reputation likes to suffer with this hotel?

The cleanliness of the hotel and the politeness of the staff were both great. I have no complaints about the customer service we received. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The hotel looked much nicer in the photos than it did in person, which was misleading. I specifically chose this expensive hotel so my kids and I could enjoy the holiday weekend, spend time at the pool, and watch the Fourth of July fireworks from the hotel. When we arrived, we were informed that we wouldn’t be able to access the pool or watch the fireworks because there was a private adults-only party taking place. We were told we would have to pay an additional $40 per person just to enter the event. That was never disclosed when I booked. The staff said an email had been sent out in advance, but because I booked through a third-party website, I supposedly didn’t receive the information. Regardless, guests should have been made aware of such a major restriction before arrival. The following day was much cooler, so we missed the opportunity to enjoy the pool altogether. To make matters worse, there was a block party directly outside the hotel on the night of the Fourth that lasted until around 4:00 a.m. The walls and windows offered very little sound insulation, so we heard everything and barely slept. We were also told parking would be $70 per night, but it ended up costing $90 per night instead. After the disappointments, we left early.

Great location- close to some awesome restaurants and walking distance to shopping in soho

Our corner room was a true urban oasis. Having the extra space and natural light from the large windows made the room feel incredibly expansive, offering stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. The hardwood floors and contemporary artistic decor gave the space a chic, local vibe. It was also perfectly soundproofed, ensuring a restful night’s sleep away from the bustling streets below. The hotel’s amenities truly set it apart. We loved having the in-room Keurig coffee machine for a quick morning boost and indulging in the luxurious C.O. Bigelow apothecary bath products in the modern bathroom with its rainfall showerhead. The crown jewel of the property, however, is Mr. Purple on the rooftop. Sipping crafted cocktails while taking in sweeping city vistas and enjoying exclusive access to the heated outdoor rooftop pool elevated our stay from great to unforgettable. The 24-hour fitness center and welcoming lobby café were also fantastic touches. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and perfectly located stay in New York!

I booked this hotel because it said it had a pool meanwhile the pool was out of order when I asked for how long they told me months? So why are you advertising that you have a pool as amenity if it’s been out of order for months?

The pool is no longer functioning!

I got there on Friday where I was met by staff that were not very welcoming. It’s hospitality is what I’m asking for not my ass kissed…. yes it was overcast day and raining Saturday but the pool was closed until further notice. Nothing gf on the very limited breakfast menu. I wanted a strawberry matcha but they didn’t have any flavorings- nothing. They gave me Splenda. There were a few nice staff I would say. The room was clean enough and it was spacious good for 2 friends. Absolutely fantastic location… I wouldn’t stay here again tho due to overall cleanliness and staff’s lack of hospitality…

Staff very attentive and responsive. Nice bathrooms. Clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable and clean and sheets nice white cotton. Makes a difference! Also happy there was not carpet in room which is gross. Hallways did have carpet. Accommodated my request for quiet room level. Let me check in 2 hours early! Checked on me throughout stay via text which is really nice. I did not use the gym or explore hotel amenities due to short stay. Surprised unable to order cab to Penn Station via front desk. Only allowed to order cab to Airport.

The location and ease of access to so much is nothing short of amazing. So amazing that it makes up for the handful of shortcomings Hotel Indigo had. The things that bugged us: The overhead shower head didn’t work, only the adjustable handheld shower head. The overhead one did however drip really cold water on us while showering with hot water from the other nozzle. Easy to avoid by standing in a certain spot, but not preferable. Our air conditioning unit needed to be fixed on our second day there. That made the room a lot more comfortable, but it also caused the unit to a lot of rattling sounds. It didn’t bother us much, but I could see it bothering others. I think the hotel as a whole could be improved by having filtered water available at more locations than just the fitness center, (even just the lobby) and maybe a few more floors with access to ice machines. The location was too perfect to let these small things bother us very much. As a relatively low maintenance guest, I’d give Hotel Indigo a solid 4/5 stars. Wouldn’t take much to get me to 5.

The staff is super friendly, helpful and kind.

clean room

Unfortunately the pool was closed for refurbishment, the primary reason I booked here and the gym was undergoing a refit with very very limited equipment. I've stayed here before and it is a great hotel but I felt disappointed that the pool was closed, especially in the hot weather and use of the gym was limited. Great location and the rooftop bar are superb. Lots of great local spots as well and walking distance to subway

Room is clean, staff is always so polite! I always stay here when I come back to the city. The rooftop bar is also so fun

First - we were told our Amenity Fee would be waived because upon arrival, we were told the rooftop pool was closed due to leaking. It was literally one of the only reasons I chose this hotel, and we were not made aware of this prior to our cancellation date. Sure enough, I should have checked the bill prior to leaving - no Amenity Fees were waived. Now the rest - you can tell the hotel was trying to update the rooms to make them more modern, but in the bathroom particularly, they failed miserably. Fun, stylish tile that they either didn’t install correctly or don't know how to clean because it was full of mold and mildew. The table in the room had spilled coffee on it when we arrived, despite being told our room wasn’t ready an hour AFTER check-in because it hadn’t been checked by a manager. I was very disappointed in the overall cleanliness. The beds were uncomfortable and pillows were hard as a rock. The cleaning staff was friendly each morning, along with the front desk staff, but I’m still frustrated with the extra fees we were charged since there were…NO amenities to take advantage of. Would not stay here again.

This property can use some updating, my room was missing a night light on one side of bed. It was ripped off wall & never replaced. The club on the rooftop did not allow us to have a restful night, it was loud beyond comfort. Sadly I would not return to this property & the neighborhood is very congested with tons of kids screaming, bar hopping, clubbing & not relaxing at all!!! It was all night into the morning hours! Extremely disappointed as I booked this night for my husbands Father’s Day celebration.

The rooftop, bar, and club. The bathroom sink has very little space.
-
The pool wasn’t open but Mr. Purple was a blast
-
We got this hotel for the city view and the rooftop pool. There was no city view and the pool was closed down for maintenance
