one of the 2 elevators was out of service the entire duration of my stay, sometimes had to wait 15 minutes to catch an elevator, very inconvenient. Hotel was nice other than that

This was an amazing place to stay. The location could not have been more perfect. We walked everywhere. Staff was kind and welcoming.

Great hotel, nice location but only one elevator was working and it was very slow. Otherwise it was a very nice hotel with great restaurant… small room for the price but comfortable beds and quiet.

Lovely hotel. A lot of street noise though.

Great location, charming and unique rooms (Queen loft has a good view of lower-east side of Manhattan) and very helpful staff. If you book a room with a soaking tub, you can request for bubble-bath free of charge. There's a historic "Katz's Delicatessen" across the street which is quite good (running since 1880s - in the same old way with paper-ticket slips) where you must try the Pastrami sandwich; the line at lunch outside is quite long so you'll want to visit early.

Staff was super helpful. I was in NY for work and when the WiFi in my room was not working, they moved and upgraded me to a new room with quick WiFi very quickly. I was able to get back to work without stress and I very much appreciated that. They gave me a bottle of wine for the inconvenience, too.

It’s a lovely place. Just a bit loud.

Selected this hotel because it was close to my daughter's apartment and pictures looked nice online. It exceeded our expectations. Even nicer in person. Rooms are tight (but that's not unusual for NYC) but very nice with high end finishes. Had lunch in the restaurant, which was lovely and the bar had great drinks and service. Also, as an added benefit, located directly across the street from Taverna di Bacco, an Italian restaurant that was excellent! Also across from the famous Katz's Deli.

Can’t beat the location. Best hotel lounge. Warm welcome by the staff at the front desk. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and very clean, with beautiful city views and thoughtful details that made the stay feel special. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was both luxurious and welcoming. The staff was friendly, professional, and always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. We also loved the hotel’s unique character and boutique feel—it has so much more personality than a typical chain hotel. If you’re looking for a hotel that perfectly blends comfort, style, and an unbeatable NYC location, The Ludlow is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again

The Ludlow is my favorite hotel in New York. The rooms are beautiful and we absolutely love the bar. We visit New York often and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I have a choice.

Staff were first rate - from front desk to servers in the impressive lounge area. The gritty Lower East Side may not be to everyone's taste, but the hotel is a classy, quiet sanctuary in it.

All things top-notch at the Ludlow Hotel NYC overall! The room, while expected to be small and compact considering I got the smallest category of room, was quite spacious for my needs! I had around three pieces of luggage in tow and they all had their own space without obstructing access. The bed was great, really appreciated the level of care housekeeping had in making sure that all sheets were well presented (clean, ironed etc) for all ten days of my stay. The location of the actual hotel itself was awesome, great eateries nearby for a late night snack, a hearty meal or even a grocery store/CVS run. Also, just a stone throw's away from the vibrant food mecca in the East Village! The reception/concierge team were always happy to help out when requested and were quite discerning especially when I returned to the property quite late in the night after being out on Long Island for an ice hockey game. Budget permitting, the Ludlow Hotel will always be a priority one stay. I have to say that the downsides was probably the elevator wait time which when timed could sit around 4-5 minutes in busier periods which became an annoying norm especially as a queue formed. From experience and most likely not a viable option here, I do believe that the lifts should operate on a guest-first model as half of time we were often sent to the operational floors of the building. However, hotel maintenance staff were always gracious and accomodating in skipping their floors in order to have guests arrive at their floors first. The reception team were a fun bunch but often kept to themselves with brief and quiet greetings to guests while returning back to their exciting personal conversations. No qualms here though, as I really enjoyed just leaving and coming without the anticipation of small talk which happens at other hotels.

A one off I need to mention, was the in room breakfast-it was served luke warm, taste was sub-par, Was told to call the front desk for a glass Of water-not what we experienced during dinner at the Dirty French. We will definitely revisit the Ludlow again-keep it up! Cheers!

We had a small room - bed was very comfortable It’s not cheap and there are cheaper options locally if you’re prepared to compromise a bit
