Clean room, very helpful staff

This hotel has really gone downhill since my last visit in 2019. The overall interior looks quite worn, with streaks covering the glass walls of the elevators and non-functional up/down call buttons. The entryway closest to the pool from the outdoor parking lot had an extremely stale odor. In my room, stains on the ceiling and the carpet, there was food-like residue on the walls of the separate sitting area. Additionally, the desk chair and the sitting room sofa were terribly stained, and the sofa was also torn. I was extremely disappointed in the current condition of the property and found it very unappealing.

Breakfast was awesome. Clean facility. Love that there were two separate spaces within the room...sitting area and sleeping area. Could use some updates, but overall I loved it.

The carpet in the room is old and stained, the bathroom is old for the price per night I would expected something a bit newer, with amenities that are not old worn out. There is no free drinking water available in the room. The light fixture is missing the light bulb. I like the fact that it’s located in the heart of Newark, DE and it’s close and convenient. The breakfast lacks variety and is not appealing, the food are very salty.

Our 3 night stay at Embassy suites was a vacation not a hotel stay. Staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The lobby/ atrium was stunning and that area as well as individual room smelled so fresh. Breakfast , complete with made to order omelette, was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone!

It was a great time the place was great. The only down side was that they had to much chlorine in there pool. Other than that 5 out of 5

Bathroom a bit tired. Quiet room, even across from elevator. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent location for stopping on our trek up north on I 95. Breakfast had an omelet chef, included in room fee. Would happily stay here again.

This is a well located hotel for University of Delaware events. Breakfast and Happy Hour are a nice touch. We had a pest issue, but the Manager has resolved it.

My family and I stayed at the embassy suites on Fourth of July weekend and everything was great. Room was very spacious and clean for our family of four . The hotel had a pool and beautiful lobby that offered free breakfast every morning with plenty of options as well as a evening reception with 2 free alcoholic drinks for adults and complimentary snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.Staff was also very nice. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Bedbugs fed on us during our 3 night stay in June. One of us continued to have itchy bleeding welts for over two weeks after leaving. They only refunded one night, saying we "should have notified them after the first night." Clearly they don't understand that bedbug bites don't show up until 3 to 7 days afterwards, so the day we checked out! Am taking this complaint higher up into Hilton management.
