Such a beautiful place

This is a beautiful property, maintained well, lovely amenities, and a helpful, kind staff. We would definitely stay again.

Loved all. Beautifully decorated. Small fabulous. Loved the roof top breakfast and location on the beach . Only negatives were that the shower water pressure is only moderate and there is no safe for valuables. Otherwise, it was perfect and the connected restaurant, 21 Oceanfront was excellent. No safe.

Location was fantastic, especially for someone that loves to be close to the beach. Felt very safe. Room took me back to Victorian ages. Noisy at night. Parking is not included in the price of the room. The continental breakfast was lacking and usually not ready until 8:30, even though it’s supposed to be ready by 7:30

Parking and check in were a bit of a pain but wish we had stayed here longer

The hotel was great! Didn’t ask for a better location literally across from Newport Beach. Staff was very helpful and even called. us to let us know our room was ready early, after we had dropped off our luggage to start our adventures due to an early flight. I would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Old infrastructure , the place was definitely not worth the price

It is different, small, cozy and comfortable with lots of windows and mirrors. It is a corner room so windows on two walls, nice ocean view and breeze. Room has a table with 2 chairs so could eat breakfast and play cards while watching the beach happenings below. We had everything we needed. Just be aware of sheet sweeper early in the morning before 6am, comes by about 8 times. close up windows at night and use A/C so it won't be as loud.

Great location

Ideal location, close to everything. The staff was extra friendly and helpful.

It was great to be right on the beach and a lot to see and do in the immediate area. The lady at the front desk didn’t have a lot of knowledge about parking in the area besides their own lot. The room was pretty clean and comfy. But it was super loud at night due to the location however it’s to be expected with the bars downstairs. The staff were very friendly.

We stay here every year and it never disappoints

Everything was amazing. We loved how you could just walk out of your room right onto the balcony or beach. The staff was very helpful and the room we stayed in was stunning. My only note would be that the canopy above the bed blocked any kind of airflow onto the bed, so no matter how cold you had the A/C, you couldn’t really feel it when your laying down which made it really hot.

We loved this place! We actually tried to stay another night but it was booked solid. Super cute. We were on the patio talking to other guests who were there for the second time. It is right on the beach in the thick of things. Comfy bed, nice little breakfast in the morning. We'd like to go back for sure!

Great stay

Clean quiet room. Great patio and breakfast area. The rooms a very big and comfortable. Staff was wonderful.

We loved everything about our stay. The location is second to none and the rooms are cute and the staff amazing. We loved their deluxe continental breakfast as well. It was robust and healthy. We can’t wait to return!

We LOVED this hotel. Character meets location. The staff were all SO friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and well updated for a building over 100 years old (ie. enough plugs, efficient AC). Obviously, there are quirks with such an old building (stairs, less water pressure, etc.), but worth it for the charm. Expect a noisier experience with this location but again, so worth it to be situated in the very heart of Newport beach life. We LOVED it! Breakfast is great, rooftop patio is amazing, loved the bath products.
