The Outlook Inn

Clean room! Beautiful decor. Breakfast was phenomenal. Service was fantastic.

The Outlook Inn was way beyond our expectation, exceptionally clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great location and the free breakfast was better than most restaurants. Although, we didn't pay enough attention to the lack of elevator (it was indicated in the description of the property) and we were on the third floor. We are both almost 70 years old and It was a bit of a challenge to get the luggage up to the third floor on the first day, but the room was super nice and spacious.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay 19 hours because we needed to leave due to the nor’easter baring down on Newport. The room was clean and welcoming. Parking was off site (approx .2 miles) and easy to access. We missed breakfast because we had to leave early. The person in charge of breakfast seemed a bit annoyed because I came up to the 3rd floor to get some coffee and food for the road 10 minutes prior to the 8 am serving time. Grabbed some fruit and a couple muffins but was offered nothing else.

Everything was wonderful! The room, location, overall feel of the Inn and especially the breakfasts! The view from the deck was amazing! The staff were exceptional as well.

Rooms were exceptionally clean. Breakfast was always delicious! Only thing I can say is the parking is not too far but you have to wait for a spot to open up they have a designated lot but no designated spots for the hotel. We went on a crowded weekend so had to wait a bit for a spot to open. Otherwise it was perfect!

The breakfast was a 10!! SO delicious and generous portion. Another treat was the outdoor deck to have your breakfast and a cup of tea. I didn't like that we had to park our car so far away and more importantly that we had to leave the parking lot by 11:00 am.

This whole inn is adorable and recently updated to provide all the luxuries of the 21st century. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with friends-so much space, full kitchen, sitting area, and the private deck off the back is such a bonus. We look forward to the gourmet breakfast every morning that’s included with the stay. The friendly staff, immaculate rooms, comfortable beds / pillows, fluffy towels, larger sized showers & vanities keep us coming back every year! My ONLY feedback is the window coverings. It would be nice if some thicker curtains were also covering the sides of the windows-the sun in the eyes at 6am males of hard to sleep in.

Few complaints about the inn itself. The problem started on the day before our arrival with an email from an unknown company saying "We need a valid copy of your ID before we can provide". I had fully paid for my room 8 months in advance. It turned out that the company owns this as well as other inns. The Director I spoke with on the phone implied they would not provide a room key code unless I agreed to their extensive legal conditions and sent my driver's license image.

I have stayed at The Outlook Inn twice now, and it has become my go-to B&B in Newport. The innkeeper and the staff are friendly and helpful, the accommodations are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent!
