The stay was wonderful. We enjoyed the rooftop deck. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to the daytime host and the front desk, sorry I can’t remember her name, but she went over and beyond help us with our luggage, questions about where to eat and things to see. The breakfast was continental but done well. Definitely recommend.

We have never stayed in a historic hotel. I loved that we had the beautiful old building and all the amenities we like in a hotel. Staff made recommendations for lunch and gave us info on what was nearby. It was quite a step back in time to a real key on a brass disc instead of a keycard,

Above all Liz and Maggie were kind, personable, helpful and sincere. In response to my wife having an accident just prior to our departure for Newport, they were able to make adjustments to our booking for our hobbled condition, placing us on the first floor. The inn is in a charming, historic 19th century house located in a dense neighborhood, with very narrow streets, one way traffic, and poor sightlines at intersections that may be challenging for drivers unused to such places. The stairs are narrow and steep. This is not a business hotel but more a bed and breakfast. It was a tremendous pleasure to stay, and my wife and I can highly recommend the Yankee Peddler Inn, There was nothing we did not like. You cannot expect modern locks with key cards when you stay in an historic house. The bathroom my seem small by modern standards, but again, this is not a modern hotel.

location was very walkable to tourist areas. Staff was very helpful. Parking is not an additional cost. Cont’l Breakfast included. I liked it. It’s not the Ritz, so just be prepared for an older colonial building without a ton of amenities. Bathrooms are tiny and outlets are scare. I don’t believe there is an elevator so if you can’t do stairs be sure to ask for first floor room. And you won’t be able to get to breakfast. I am sure this place is not ADA compliant.
