Mill Street Inn

The suites are well designed and very spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast choices are European style, and delivered in a bag outside your door- there's no traditional breakfast room. There is a rooftop lounging area which presumably affords views of the harbor (but we didn't not experience.) Very convenient to Thames Street pubs and restaurants, the included parking is a very big plus. As for negatives, the wifi often dropped connections, making it very difficult to stream. The sofa pillows smelled a little musty, and one of the split-ac units was a little whiny. Also, the bathroom was a bit on the small size, contrary to the rest of the suite. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant stay at a hotel with very congenial staff.

The rooms are impressively spacious, especially for a downtown hotel. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, and the room provided plenty of space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Everything was clean, well maintained, and quiet, making it easy to relax. The location is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. It's just a short walk to the wharf, Thames Street, and many of Newport's best restaurants, shops, bars, and attractions. Once you arrive, there's little need to drive anywhere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to an already great experience. Between the comfortable accommodations, excellent location, and boutique charm, Mill Street Inn continues to exceed our expectations. After two wonderful stays, I can confidently recommend Mill Street Inn to anyone visiting Newport. I'll absolutely stay here again on my next trip.

Great 4 stay right in the centre of lovey Newport, a short walk to the marina, shops, bars, restaurants and everything that the charming town has to offer. Very attentive helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist at all times. Nice room with all the amenities that we required. A tasty, plentiful continental breakfast that you preorder is delivered to the room at the chosen time to either enjoy in your room or on the roof terrace which we did in the lovely morning sun. Free parking which is a bonus in Newport. Overall a lovely stay in a great hotel.

We love the Mill Street Inn! Perfect location to buzz around town on foot, and the rooftop is really special and a hidden gem. Staff is so friendly and helpful - we really like them, too. This was the first time I thought the rooms looked a little tired, but they are spacious and comfy.

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I loved the little gym, it was so quiet and quaint! Getting breakfast delivered to our door was quite the treat. Unbeatable location. My husband and I will certainly return to the Mill Street Inn.

I took my sister to the property for her 60th birthday and it couldn't have been nicer! From the super friendly, helpful staff to the spacious, well-appointed rooms, it was truly fabulous! The location is right off the main thoroughfare so it was quiet be easily accessible to Bowen's Wharf. The boxes complimentary continental breakfast delivered right to our rooms was a treat! We ate it on the rooftop which was lovely - it had a great view of the town. And to top everything off, the inn had a free parking lot. I would absolutely return!!

There are a few styles of rooms to fit your needs. Even though the off street parking is limited, it still outshine the vast majority of boutique style hotels in the area with no parking at all. The roof top deck provides great views to the harbor. Pur main issues not giving the highest ratings are the property is due for a refresh. Its far from run down but it could use a general spruce up. The other issue is that, unlike last year,the noise levels were more than we are used to. Granted our neighbors were extremely inconsiderate oafs that ,despite management attempts to quiet,proceeded to clomp around their suite as if elephants in heat. The noise levels in the hallway with room doors shutting were definitely higher then we like as well. There were an inordinate amount of visitors in the city this weekend so I suppose that colored our impressions this stay. We would consider staying again especially if the property undergoes a refresh soon.

The location is amazing - you are within walking distance to restaurants/shops/sights, parking was easy (their parking lot has plenty of space) and they had bike storage as well. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful - if you need anything they'll help you out. Breakfast delivery was nice - but the best part was enjoying it on our deck (amazing view). The townhouse suites are very well laid out and the AC works great. Also want to shout out that the fitness area is nice. There was an issue with the electrical outlet in our room (where the coffee maker & electric kettle was plugged in). We reported it to the front desk - they were super nice about it & hopefully it is fixed for next guests.

The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Daily breakfast was a lovely touch and we enjoyed it on the roof deck, as well as the sangria or cucumber water in the afternoons. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore both the tourist areas and the more quiet local spots. The room was lovely, very clean and well maintained. Bedding was comfortable and the seating area was very cute. We loved this place and will certainly go back!

Mill Street in was an excellent property to stay. Centrally located in downtown newport offering a quick walk to restaurants, bars and the water. Incredibly clean and the staff was so friendly. We will stay here again.

Great place to stay for centralized location. Easy walking to all the tourist activities. Our room was clean and comfortable, also quite large. No elevator but it wasn't an issue. Lovely staff.

Excellent location! Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and very nice shower. The breakfast was nice but not noteworthy. Private patio was not worth it. The public patio space is quite nice, however.
