Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Norfolk Airport

Staff Room wasn’t cleaned properly - empty bottles & toothpaste down back of door. Maybe we were unlucky?!

In town to board a cruise ship a few weeks ago. I stay at this hotel the night prior, each cruise. The on-site restaurant is delicious as well as friendly wait staff. The staff at the front desk are very welcoming and accommodating. I love that they offer a shuttle service to and from the port for a very affordable fee to not only be driven to the port, but also be able to leave my vehicle parked at the hotel for the duration of the cruise. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Convenient and close to the port.

The staff was friendly and hardworking. The cookies- as always were great! We were sent to a room we couldn't access because it was already occupied. They reprogrammed our cards and sent us back o the same room even after we told them it sounded like someone was in there. Finally maintenance got involved and found out someone had already checked into the room. we were assigned another room. The handle fell off of the shower as soon as we turned it on. There was no tub. The pool was half drained and full of bubbles when we came out for an early swim before check out. We called the desk to see if pool was undergoing maintenance and/or if it would reopen. They did not followup so we called again- they said it was closed. We went back to the pool- no signage, pool looked absolutely normal- full and no bubbles. We went to the restaurant and stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes while the employee cleaned and set tables without being acknowledged at all. There was one occupied table and 1 person sitting at the bar- it eas not busy. No excuse for being ignored for 10 minutes.

Carl the shuttle driver was excellent..Front Desk always kind, patient and understanding.. I didn't like double queen sz bed room assignment, having paid for King size bed rooom.

The water and cookies were good. Staff cared!

Our stay was great!! We didn’t have any issues. The staff was friendly, and the property was very clean.

Near the Airport and you have a shuttle.

Exceptional

Clean lobby, close to the airport and they were kind enough to give us a late checkout . On site restaurant was good The door to our room would stick and was hard to open and close. It was very loud, had to slam it shut. Pool area was rundown. Very small pool towels. Also the door to the bathroom didn’t close all the way

Excellent friendly staff. Lobby and restaurant looks tired. Good airport shuttle. Nothing within walking distance

No shampoo supplied, not a deal breaker as I always bring my own. Water in the pool was freezing though!!

The room that I was in had a none working exhaust fan in the bathroom..

We always stay at The Doubletree when we travel to Virginia Beach. The staff is always so polite and friendly.

There was visible dirt in the AC vent on ceiling The windows need to be replaced- I was in 4 th floor and I could hear the traffic outside I paid over 500 dollars for this room- it was not worth 500 dollars I did like the lotion in the bathroom and the tv worked well

The staff were very friendly The room was so dirty. The bedding had been changed, but that was all that seemed to be done. There was TONS of hair everywhere, on the floor, in the shower, it was so gross. The floors were so dirty that I had to wipe my feet down with a wash cloth before getting into bed and the wash cloth looked disgusting, and that was just from walking from the bathroom to the bed. The towels had rips in them and the wall paper was peeling off. This was not a 4 star experience.

The customer service

The staff at the hotel were very nice. The cleanliness of the room was subpar. Hair in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower. Bed didn’t have a fitted sheet. Just two top sheets. The TV remote was covered in actual food. Smells pretty bad of septic. Some maintenance issues like a previous leak in the ceiling that was never repaired and HVAC returned that was sticking out of the wall. The shuttle driver is less than pleasant.
