Travelodge by Wyndham Norfolk Airport

I checked in between 3-4pm after settling in I realized the toilet wasn't working and also leaking. I contacted the front desk i was told some was was coming to fix it but no one came so I went to the front desk asked if someone can assist and finally someone came 2 hours later. I woke up at 6am to a puddle of water in the room from the A/C unit being faulty. After trying to get the situation rectified no one came to fix the unit or clean the water so I packed my things and left. The service was awful. Couldn't even utilize the shower properly. Terrible experience

I was taking a shower and the the shower was black with dirt and long black hair, I have short brown hair, I asked the clerk to have my room cleaned and when I came in from work, it still wasn’t cleaned! I asked he clerk and said he was sorry and he would have someone in 10 minutes, again no one showed up! I even took the trash out myself! I paid good money to the hotel and felt I got short changed! Travelling from uk, not like uk travelodge. Was a pretty terrifying experience. Room was dirty and smelly. Big gap around door with a flimsy lock. Guests and ‘visitors’ through the night were loud, aggressive and intimidating. There was a lot going on and the things I was forced to listen to didn’t leave much to the imagination…….. this travelodge may be as expected by many and I should have read the reviews, but if travelling as a single woman or a family please do not go there.

The first room we checked into had not been thoroughly checked for cleanliness. Toilet was clearly not cleaned, tissue on the floor, and hair in the tub. The rooms are non-smoking, but had very strong smells of smoke. When trying to get a refund, we were informed that they couldn't directly refund us since we booked through a third party and offered us another room instead. With limited time to be at an event, and patience running thin, we accepted the new room. Upon entering, the room *seemed* cleaner, but upon further investigation, it was still subpar. The door didn't seal completely, and therefore flies were everywhere in the room. There were no towels. No soap. And no toilet paper upon arrival. The sheets were stained and the comforters had burn holes all throughout. Missing two pillow cases, and the pillows themselves were stained. There was gum on the floor and walls. What appeared to be some kind of under garments inside the light fixture. And a terrible smell of smoke. The staff at the desk seemed pleasant, but maintenance and upkeep needs to be addressed.

I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. PLEASE REFUND $314.29 ASAP! THE STAFF TOLD US TO CONTACT YOU BECAUSE WE BOOKED THROUGH YOU! I ASKED THE TERRIBLE TRAVELODGE BY WYNDHAM FOR A FULL REFUND AS WE NEVER TOOK ANYTHING TO A ROOM. I CALLED AND HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER HALF AN HOUR.

You get what you pay for. Felt completely unsafe. Seems like people live there as their permanent residences. Lots of washed clothes hanging over the rails/stairs to dry. Lots of people outside smoking and talking all night. The room was smokey. Bugs on the carpet in the corner. Never again.

We have enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.

From the moment I arrived, the room was unclean. The towels were brown and appeared dirty, the bed sheets were stained, and the blanket had multiple holes. The floor had clearly not been swept or mopped, as my white socks turned dark brown after walking around the room for only a short time. The toilet seat was also stained and appeared unsanitary. In addition, the shower did not work. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk and was told that maintenance would come to fix it. Despite being assured that someone would come, no one ever arrived, and the problem was never resolved. As a result, I was unable to shower comfortably during my stay. I also was not provided with clean replacement towels. What makes this even more frustrating is that while my maintenance request was ignored, staff knocked on my door at 10:50 a.m., before the 11:00 a.m. checkout time, expecting me to already be out of the room. It is disappointing that there was urgency when it came to checkout but not when it came to resolving the serious issues with my room. The condition of the room and the lack of response to my complaint fell well below acceptable standards. I paid for a clean, functional room and did not receive what was promised. Bathroom was dirty, tv didn’t work, blanket was too thin so was the pillow.

We tried to checkin at 430 were told we had to wait another 10 minutes which turned into 20. We were charged a fee of $4.00 for a facility fee on a prepaid booking. We could not find any information on an added fee. After checking in we had to wait for the room to be cleaned and we sat in the car and watched as the cleaner had multiple conversations that pushed that 10 minute wait to 20+. The room did not have any mobility accessibility such as grab bars in the showers. No security bar or chain. No soaps and the floor rug had a clear dirty foot print on it. The shower also did not drain properly leaving you in ankle deep water. And we didnt get much sleep as there was a ton of activity around the hotel at all hours. Ie kids screaming, cars pulling up with loud conversations etc. Didn't feel safe and would not recommend as a family hotel. Also the hotel staff at front desk barely speak English and we're not able to explain extra fee and its listed on the bill as $4. Cash payment

They are scammers, they refused to give me my room after they confirmed they had the reservation. They were giving the rooms to people with no reservations at a higher cost. The lobby was nasty bugs and roaches all over the place. Would not recommend.

La verdad no fue nada agradable la estancia. Al ducharme en la hab. Que me había tocado la tina se tapó y el agua nunca salió tuve que ir a la recepción y me cambiaron a otra hab. La cual estaba sucia no tenía refrigerador el TV nunca funcionó. No habían toallas. El día sábado estuvimos todo el día fuera cuando regresamos no habían limpiado la hab. No habían colocado toallas y habían insectos que tuvimos que matar pisándolos. Fui y llamé varias veces a la recepción pero hicieron caso omiso a las sugerencias y solicitudes. Cuando me retiré fui a hablar nuevamente en recepción y solo me ignoraron por completo recibieron la tarjeta de la puerta. Deberían por lo menos hacer un reembolso parcial de lo pagado ya que nada estuvo bien. Por cierto en la entrada de la recepción hay una máquina dañada de hacer hielo y hay agua constantemente que al entrar corres el peligro de resbalarte y caerte. No siquiera allí que es la vista inicial del hotel pueden tomar acciones y repararla o retirarla para evitar un futuro accidente. Por otro lado hay personas que no son de buen vivir como fue un ciudadano adulto orinando desde el balcón a la orilla de la piscina sin importar si hay niños o personas en general. También hice ese reporte y no hicieron nada. En fin muy mala experiencia.

They have cameras all around but allow people loitering in the stairs and parking lot. Making anyone feel unsafe. I came back to my room almost midnight and there was someone smoking in the stairs. He was still there the next morning when I walked out around 8. You get what you pay for even though they charged double for 4th of July weekend. I’ve been customer service manager and this place is not well managed. Outdated AC and TVs don’t work.
