SureStay by Best Western Norman

I booked this hotel specifically because the listing said they had a portacrib. When I requested it at check in they said they did not have accommodations for an infant so we ended up having to go purchase a pack and play for my daughter. The elevator was making horrible sounds and there were cracks all over the hallway ceiling on the 3rd floor. Every time we left our room it smelled of smoke. Twice when we left to go to dinner there were men loitering outside the front entrance drinking and I had to walk my children past it. We ended up going out for breakfast because the buffet was a little sad and didn’t have any safe foods for my little guy with sensory needs.

This was originally booked as Mariott by internet. I tried to cancel when discovered that I was mislead. The desk manager lied saying that I was not on the reservation list. He only had to respond to an email from booking.com to correct the issue. He chose not to and lied to me instead.

Average hotel for the price. When I arrived, no signage on the building - but they were painting the building and hung a banner the next day. Bed was comfortable, pillows were terrible. Bath- tub had dirt/hair in it. After the room was "cleaned" same dirt and hair in the tub. Breakfast- bland powered eggs - like all budget hotels use. Overall, friendly staff, but not impressed at all. Location is all the hotel has going for it. Typical Best Western hotel - budget focused.

I liked that fresh towels and cups were provided without asking. Wish there would have been a full length mirror in the room

Location and staff Internet on the tv kept going out. Made it very difficult to watch when it kept loading over and over There were some stains on the curtains. Either blood or ketchup

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Window washing would be good. I think they are remodeling

It was always quiet. The breakfast was very good! My main complaint was that a couple of the staff members would seem bothered when I asked them for TP.

Entire property was just overall not clean and therefore felt not safe. Shower was super dirty, which makes me think what else wasn't clean. Just not a great experience overall.
